Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
Good for you --- I can only remember two words about Jesus --- and it shocked even a seasoned poster like me.
So because you can only remember two words about Jesus, they can't view threads that have post before their start date, when any one can if they wish?
If you have a bad memory and are unable to remember more than two words about Jesus, that doesn't apply to what others are able to read.

Luke 10:27 (Love God Above All, And Your Neighbor as yourself) And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 7:12 (Do unto others)
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 5:43-48 (Pray for those that persecute you)
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Luke 6:27-29 (Love your enemies.)
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

If they find a Christian mistaken in a field which they themselves know well and hear him maintaining his foolish opinions about our books, how are they going to believe those books in matters concerning the resurrection of the dead, the hope of eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven, when they think their pages are full of falsehoods on facts which they themselves have learnt from experience and the light of reason? Reckless and incompetent expounders of holy Scripture bring untold trouble and sorrow on their wiser brethren when they are caught in one of their mischievous false opinions and are taken to task by those who are not bound by the authority of our sacred books.
Isaiah 8:12-13 (NIV) "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread."

According to what I've seen here, "blasphemy" means "arguments I couldn't refute".
This is why: Join Date: 3rd July 2009.
Should be something like this

I have a feeling he didn't see GA --- just a gut feeling.
I only remember two words from that whole sub-forum (about Jesus), and I won't repeat them --- not even to my wife.
You would be incorrect. I remember when you said you wanted to tar and feather people who taught evolution.
Remember when you said that?

they told me if I voted for John McCain that I would get a President like Bush that would violate the airspace and sovereignty of an allied nation with a military force to assassinate a foreign national of another allied country and then their dead body would be dumped in the ocean. and they were right.
No, this forum is surely not GA, it's not even Creation and Evolution, because asking "who created the creator" is considered off topic and gets deleted ...
GA had alot of interesting discussions, and alot of mutual learning taking place. It was a gathering of alot of knowledgable people, most of whom were polite and happy to discuss. Of course it wasn't problem free either.
That said, I find it silly to blame a forum for the actions of some of its members. All of these members are still around cf and the rest of the internet having the exact same debates, nothing has truly been accomplished by shutting down the forum.
I find it ironic this thread was closed because it was an "apologetics thread".
It seems like 90% of threads around here turn into apologetics threads. C/E doesn't really get discussed here much anymore.

eta - that thread was off topic for the C/E section.
The reason I started that thread was because "God wrote the Bible therefore the Bible is infallable, therefore evolution is a fraud and a hoax and Satan's tool, etc. because the Bible tells us it is," was being used as a creationist argument in multiple threads in this very forum. Imagine my surprise, when I learned I was not allowed to start a thread on a topic in a forum where it was being discussed regularly...

Did you miss this part?I went there to see if it was reposted; and guess what?
I don't see it.
What do you suppose that means?
It means I haven't yet figured out what to do about the discission. I have no desire to bring up the topic in a different forum, considering the fact it is brought up repeatedly here in this forum.
Does that answer your question?
