It used to be the sub-forum of choice here for those who wanted to roll up their sleeves and get down to business in debating.
But it was becoming, in my opinion, more and more like Blasphemy Central --- if you know what I mean.
If I remember correctly, Administration stepped in and temporarily closed it to allow us to cool down and see what it would be like w/o it.
When they reopened it, it was just as nasty as ever, if not moreso.
Admin graciously closed it.
According to what I've seen here, "blasphemy" means "arguments I couldn't refute".

Agreed. I've seen many hardcore christians here put down or attack other christians because their belief slightly disagrees. TE's for example.

If there were more politeness there'd be better arguments. Then we could all learn some science. I've tried, but all I got from some people was basically 'you're stupid' 'you know nothing' - that's really not the way to refute a point. Sorry, I just had to address that. There are people I can learn from on here though - kudos to them.

If you can only "refute" arguments by being impolite and disrespectful then that says a lot about your debating abilities.
