The liberal media is the regular media services there which act as agenda setting media. The NY Times being a leading example. This is the 'left liberal media' now they may be "left" on some issues, lets say abortion rights or something, but their inherent function is to set boundaries on what is acceptable in popular discourse. So you are allowed this much dissent but no more.
So for example none of them would point out that invading countries is a major crime or that 'no option is off the table with Iran' is a major crime. All corporate US media tow the party line. Examples to the contrary pretty much don't exist.
So in this framework yes there is a 'left liberal media' but their function is to set the acceptable framework for what is 'left'. Aside from this their function is the exact same as all the corporate media, sell a product (us) to a market (other big business).
I would concede the NY Times is a left-leaning outlet, but I was speaking more generally in broadcast media. I should have made that clearer. When I hear people talking about "the liberal media" it's usually aimed at broadcast television media outlets.

I followed the links you posted on Limbaugh and Coulter. I found the words "liberal media", but not anything about a super secret liberal conspiracy.
I posted a lot more than two links. Both individuals have indicated that they feel the liberal media was responsible for something they perceive as negative happening, that is a conspiracy in all but name
