Baby Blues?

I don't miss pregnancy one bit other than the good factors.Of course first movement, ultrasounds, playing 'guess which body part'. But I keep having this overwhelming fear that if I wait too long, something will be wrong with the next.

If I wait until my first is 2-3 I won't be able to keep up with him, because every pregnancy will mean bedrest. I am terrified that the longer I wait, the less likely I will be able to handle it. I want Kaden to have his first year, but I want to TTC again after that, because this means another cerclage, another high stress, high risk pregnancy.

Only you know what's best for you.

However, the older the child is...the more you are able to reason with them....if you are on bedrest this time...how will an 18 mo understand that mommy is on bedrest? They are as mobile as a 2-3 yo....but have less reasoning skills...less understanding. Also...they require more physically. A 3-4 yo is usually potty trained...able to get things from the fridge or a snack...is in preschool....can play with a friend.....entertains itself more....needs less constant supervision...is generally more self sufficient.

My first two are 3 1/2 years apart...the second two are 2 1/2 years apart...that year made a huge difference too. My pregnancies are high risk(no bed rest reallY) and towards the end I had multiple office visits a week. It was easier for my older child to keep herself entertained during my NST's and such...and to just be more understanding, than it was for my 2 yo when I was pregnant with my third.

Just my two cents....gl with whatever you decide.
