I have known some priests who have survived the big C, and it was a life-changing event for them.
They are some of the holiest priests I have known. One is a Serbian priest, and he said it was a miracle.

However, I was very encouraged that Patrick Swayze lived almost 22 months with this kind of cancer (he was told on each dr's visit that he probably had 3 months to live). I never thought he would live that long. I pray that the treatments will work with Fr. Michael.
