I'm sure some of you have seen those bumperstickers that say "Coexist" and have some symbols that represent different religions in the world. As Orthodox Christians- how does it make you feel when you see that bumpersticker? Should it even make us feel anthing at all? Even to non-Orthodox, how does it make you feel?
Please refrain from arguing. I'm just curious what everyone thinks about this. I invite anyone from any religious background to please give input. I will give my two-cents after some other response. Thanks!

Reason: more info
Someone at my church has that on their car. I thought it was slightly odd the first time I saw it, because it seems like it might be suggesting some equivalency of beliefs. But I think it just means "live and let live" which is good I think.
My friend was telling me that in India...everyone celebrates everyone's holiday. So like, for a Muslim holiday, all the Muslims, Hindu's and Christians all go to Mosque together and feast or whatever. Then on Pascha, all the Muslims, Christians and Hindu's will go to Church together and then feast afterwords. He said that when he worked there (for a law firm), even though he was Catholic, his Muslim friend begged him to come celebrate Muslim holiday and break their Muslim fast with him, so he did.
I duno... I thought it was pretty interesting. Imagine seeing a bunch of Hindus and Muslims and other religious folk at Pascha...just because it's an excuse to feast and get off work.
I would not want that bumper sticker on my vehicle.
It gives the false impression that all religions are equal.

I agree with it on the principle that we do need to tolerate each other and live with each other, not fight and have wars over religion. Of course, I do hope that the ones with the "Coexist" bumper stickers truly mean it, and don't sit around with their friends at SCA events talking about how horrible Christians are/Christianity is, then get mad when somebody gets offended.....Oh, wait, I seem to be channeling a few bad memories here....

Best one so far though was the car I saw that sticker on a car on one side and the other side had a 'Darwin Fish' eating a 'Jesus Fish'... So much for that Coexistence... So that's pretty much all the thought I really put to that... usually the other bumper stickers on the car along with the Coexist sticker tells the 'real' story...

I dislike it for a completely inane reason. A lot of the people I see with those stickers are feel-good hippies, I dont wanna be associated with that crowd.
This poses an old question one that was hatched out at all of the ecumenical councils and that is........ what is more important peace or Truth? if our faith in God is at the core of our being than we cannot be silent about religions that call for the murder of Jews or allow their own people to starve to death becouse they dont want to disturb karma etc. otherwise the Holy fathers would have been fine with just allowing Arius to have his views after all their opinion of who Jesus is is just as valid as Athanasius'. truth always trumps what the world calls peace. and as far as the fine print goes I'd be afraid to see what their Idea of fascism is

Oogly the naked mole-rats favorite verse is : Heb 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Attention fellow pilgrims GBTWC is not Orthodox (yet) with a capital "O" nor is He a capitol "S" Saint according to the Orthodox Church at least not till His body dies which makes some sense to me (I think) but for the sake of peace so be it.
