US companies have been patenting biological life forms for several years now (even though originally they weren't allowed to). Companies will patent the genetic sequence for diseases to ensure that any work done towards a cure or a vaccine on that disease belong to that company or that any researchers trying to do work in that area are required to pay the patent holder.
It IS a way of making money off of people's suffering, but not in the way that you think. As much as they may play the role, these companies are not run by comic book style evil geniuses hatching zany plots to destroy the Earth.

ATLANTA — Health officials are investigating a never-before-seen form of the flu that combines pig, bird and human viruses and which has infected seven people in California and Texas. All the victims recovered, but the cases are a growing medical mystery because it's unclear how they caught the virus.
CDC officials detected a virus with a unique combination of gene segments that have not been seen in people or pigs before. The bug contains a human virus, an avian virus from North America and pig viruses from North America, Europe and Asia.

‘Accidental’ Contamination Of Vaccine With Live Avian Flu Virus Virtually Impossible
Czech newspapers are questioning if the shocking discovery of vaccines contaminated with the deadly avian flu virus which were distributed to 18 countries by the American company Baxter were part of a conspiracy to provoke a pandemic.
The claim holds weight because, according to the very laboratory protocols that are routine for vaccine makers, mixing a live virus biological weapon with vaccine material by accident is virtually impossible.
“The company that released contaminated flu virus material from a plant in Austria confirmed Friday that the experimental product contained live H5N1 avian flu viruses,” reports the Canadian Press.

Try doing some research of your own,instead of swallowing the government line.

And this one that was rushed to market,and thousands of doses of "LIVE-VIRUS" sent to 18 countries,via the Baxter case,along with all the other news stories that I have already provided the sources for. 
The medical field is pretty solidly concerned. You keep posting stories about individual nurses but seeing as how there are not nurse microbiologist, I think you pretty well discredit your own stories.
Live vaccines are by far the most effective, the H1N1 live vaccine gives you something like a 90%+ protection rate where the dead virus is closer to the 60% range.
I don't know how many times I have pointed this out to you but this is not a new vaccine, it was been tested and even after having been given to millions is not causing problems.

H1N1 has now been found in ferets and cats, will you please drop the line about how this is something new. We have seen the influenza virus jump species since we have observed it.

You have not provide one single credible source(wikipedia does not count since anyone can edit it,FAUX News is not a credible source either and I expect soon CCF will put it on their list of unacceptable links) to back up your claim that this mixture of flu DNA has ever been seen before,or for any of your other claims for that matter!
All you want to do is argue and bear false witness against those who are supplying news about this flu and it's vaccine!
You have proven that your arguments are totally baseless and false, (ie it's isn't just a few nurses protesting against mandatory vaccine, it is hundreds),and was reported in the BMJ and Toronto Sun,and on television news,and so was the story about Baxter shipping out vaccine with live virus and claiming it to be an accident!
As anyone can see you continue to ignore what the reports themselves said, and try to make light of what they considered very serious! Fortunately everyone can read the articles for themselves and see your "SPIN"! All you can do is twist what the articles really say!
I seriously doubt if anyone is going to believe someone who discounts what was reported in the British Medical Journal,as if it was nothing! Or the Toronto Sun,or the BBC or CBS.

Neither I nor the article ever claimed nurses are also microbiologists! I used commas to separate those in the medical field,virologists, and microbiologists,but you used falsehood to say that I or the article said something that I never even claimed!

What on Earth would Baxter gain from creating a world-wide pandemic? I know it sounds fantastical, except that it's an INCREDIBLY short-sighted thing to do as the people who release the virus have no ability to control the mutation of the virus. The potential of re-creating a Black Death-esq plague and wiping out a significant part of the population of the planet is a possibility.
Not every company that does research on diseases is secretly run by Umbrella, mkay?

Your dismissal of all medical science as "government and pharmaceutical propaganda" is the furthest thing from logical. I can only assume that you trust modern medicine during something like a car wreck, or broken bone. Where then do you draw the line between "good medicine" and "big pharma evil medicine".
Here in realityland there is only one kind of medicine, it is results based and thus keeps the loons out.
