But hey it makes people not in the situation and who likely never have been or will be in the situation feel better about themselves so let's make everyone get ultrasounds instead of doing things that actually help.

You're probably wondering if I deconverted since my icon has changed. In a way I have, in a way my beliefs haven't changed at all. It's... complicated. You probably shouldn't worry about it... I'm not. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |

It's not even "too much Old Testament", in the Old Testament God is compassionate, shows mercy, is patient and long-suffering. Consider the lesson we learn from Jonah, or the word delivered to Ezekiel that God does not desire the death of the wicked, that God takes no pleasure or joy in the destruction of the wicked by desires that that the wicked repent and change their ways so they might live and have life. God has always been a merciful, compassionate, kind and patient God who has no desire for the destruction of the wicked, who has loving-kindness for the sinner and for the wicked person to change their ways and truly live and have life. -CryptoLutheran |

Speaking as someone who HAS been in those situations, I can say that there is no obstacle that is too great that God cannot help us overcome it. Sometimes some of the most difficult situations yield the most rewarding results!
As for this Planned Parenthood leader, I'm glad that he had that awakening. He will now have a testimony that he can share with others, and has a unique perspective that will likely have a great impact.

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, only to die to find out there is. James 1 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. |

People have a change of heart about their professions all the time. This woman decided she didnt want to be part of PP anymore so she quit, why is this such a banner event?
And if this is such a big deal, should we also consider it an indictment of Capitalism that many people quit corporate jobs because they find it soulless and unfulfillable?
THINK about this kind of stuff before we turn it into shotgun opera, mkay?

yet God continues to pierce the very heart of darkness, in unexpected and surprising ways. He wins hearts. Against all odds, He wins hearts. May it be so, amen.

You are entitled to your opinion. That is because you have the privilege of the freedom of speech. But that is what it is, your opinion.
Yes, God is relentless. Not ineffective. For He WILL accomplish what He started. He pierces the heart of darkness in unexpected and surprising ways. He is not finished. May His will be done.
