I am 20 year old Canadian born Chinese college student. I began going to church at a young age, and accepted Christ in grade 4. I got baptized just before I graduated high school. My church is a medium sized church (~300 total), with three congregations (mandarin, cantonese, and english).
Currently, I am studying sciences with hopes of one day becoming a doctor (I am now waiting to hear back whether or not I got an interview! Hehe).
I come to this forum with the intent of finding answers to questions that I have... some doubts that I am experiencing now... I am part of my church's college fellowship, and although we are very good friends and are comfortable around each other, I feel a lack of spiritual growth within the group. Some of the older members that I have always looked up to in the past are not moving towards becoming more Christ like, and have hit a plateau. Or at least that's how I see it. However, I understand that I shouldn't expect to have them always look after me, give me advice, etc., and that I should be able to stand up more on my own two feet.
In addition to this, I lead a Bible study small group on campus which meets weekly with a consistent group of at least 10 people. In this group some questions have come up that I have never even thought of before. So I hope that from my time at ChristianForums I will be able to find answers, or know how to find answers to these questions... or perhaps a better way of wording it is knowing how to find the evidence, and knowing how to come up with my own conclusion... such as with respect to the creationism/evolution debate.
Welcome to CF. This is a good place to find the answers. Just look the CF over and I'm sure you will find a good place to start. I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Hey, and welcome to CF!
It's great that you've come here for some answers and all. You know, I have a pastor who keeps telling people that the time when you doubt an have a feeling that you actually don't know anything is the time when you grow the most spiritually. I think that's kind of accurate, because then you're most willing to learn. I hope you'll get a chance to learn and grow as well and get something out of bbeing here as well as in your local church. God bless!

For the end of those things is death. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Welcome to CF, FD33_
So, you lead a Bible study group on campus? That's awesome! I look after a cell group at work, which is really fulfilling. Please feel free to PM me anytime if you'd like to discuss anything. I enjoy discussing the Lord's work and ways.
