Is this the mosque that is referred to as the Blue Mosque? If it is, then my mother visited it when she went to Istanbul in the 1970s.
We also have a Blue Mosque here in Malaysia - it's located in Shah Alam, the capital of the state of Selangor. I've only ever seen it from a distance the times I've been to the State Immigration Office.
It is the largest mosque in Malaysia, and the second largest mosque in South-East Asia (the largest is Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia). Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque (Blue Mosque) |

Yes it is, but I think it is a mistake. Blue is not a distinguishing colour for it. It is called with that name in the west not here.
Yours, but, is really a blue mosque. It is also a beautifull mosque.

More pictures from holy places in Britain. This Hindu Temple in Neasden, London is the biggest mandir outside India. I've visited it. Beautiful building.

Even in its damaged state, it's quite beautiful. eudaimonia,
