It sure would be interesting though if this announcement were ever made. Suddenly, the deceived will come out of the woodwork and turn on us, the confused and evil believer. Then we will see who the true people of God are, and not just those along for the ride.
(And I might add to the above statement,) those who are "stuck" in theological (and even cultural) comfort zones, without the desire to hear the Spirit. I can say this because I now live in Mississippi, the proverbial "buckle of the Bible belt", where I see a lot of "comfortable" and complacent Christianity, unfortunately.
I will tell you this it is nonsense: there is no such thing as extra-terrestial life.

I beg to differ. The Bible describes at least one non-terrestrial form of life: Angels.
I don't think it is necessarily unbiblical to think that God may have made other intelligent beings on other worlds. I think it is merely irrelevant. Our central focus is to be our relationship with Christ, not speculation about what else He might have created. It's an interesting intellectual exercise when you're bored though.
