I didn't want to talk about people's reactions in the first post, because we can fear people as much as we fear unknown supernatural beings. People just do what they think best based on what they know to be true or helpful. But who can say that they know all that relates to the supernatural? None of us.
I actually think my pastor would be pretty cool about it, he's told me a few stories where demons have tried to attack him. I'm more concerned about other people in the church, like you said I don't know how they would react. Especially one of friends who is really interested in demons and has done a lot of research, she'd probably do a exorcism just to be sure.
That's what I've always believed, it's very comforting
It's true. If the enemy can get you to listen then he stays with to upset you but, when you made your mind up to keep your mind on the Lord then he leaves because there is no work for the enemy to do. Once you seek God and God sees you and hears you calling then the enemy must move- he must get out of the way. Glory To God!
All that fame and glory among friends going to the head... seizures from flashing lights...being one with the instrument... naw. I think it's the beverage.
Especially one of friends who is really interested in demons and has done a lot of research, she'd probably do a exorcism just to be sure.
That might not be a terrible thing. If nothing happens, then no fret. (A shameless guitar pun) If something does, then you'll be free of it.
It's good to hear your pastor would be open to talking about it. That probably means other people at church would too.
The whole not drinking thing is kinda annoying because people think I have some sort of moral objection. Especially my dad's side of the family. Man they are annoying.
I don’t think an exorcism is what I need. My friend tells me all these things about demons and I don’t want to hear it, I want nothing to do with it. I would just rather things about the spirit world be left unknown. My brain doesn’t need any more stuff to deal with. I have all these dreams about demons ever since I was young (these particular dreams being unique) and I’m not sure whether it’s normal all not. But if these dreams have taught me anything is that I need to rely more on God because he is way more powerful than any demon. I do think because of these dreams I need to reintroduce myself to God, get back into the church.

Your chosen by God and are spiritually gifted. Yes its normal for the enemy to come to you in your dreams to make you fear him. As you grow in the Lord you will not fear the enemy in your dreams. And most important you already have the answer - seek God because it time for you to grow.
The enemy tries to keep you overwhelmed thats so you don't hear spiritually because you are too busy focused on things that won't matter in the end anyway but, you will learn even through your storms to hear and see spiritually.
I have dreams like that too. You wake up and sometimes even get out of bed but for a few seconds you continue to dream while awake and see dream "stuff" superimposed over the waking vision of the room you are in. It could be a chemical or psychological problem and that should probably be looked into too. Of course if they only happen when you drink you could always try to stop drinking. Not trying to say that I know it isn't demonic just pointing out some other possibilities. I know I was diagnosed with "sleep terrors" when I was a kid. At first when I had them I would be terrified with heart racing but now the episodes tend not to induce as much fear. They are more like your dream with weird stuff happening but I don't feel fear during it. They also seem to happen less often now that I'm older. Now they only seem to be really scary if I'm sick or drink a whole bunch of espresso before I go to bed lol.

It's good to use wisdom in choosing people to tell as most are not knowledgble of the spirit world (or believe they know so much) may not be able to deal properly with the information.

This is going to sound silly, but my dreams are worse when the heat turns on in the fall. If my head is too hot, my dreams act as they do when I have a fever. I find a lot of people get out-of-the ordinary dreams during this weather transition. (Except those Down Under must be warming up outdoors now.)
Yep it’s heating up alright, well it’s going to be 36 tomorrow, 37 on Wednesday, 38 on Friday (I’m not kidding it’s going up, according to the weather report, in consecutive order) and 39 on Saturday (that’s 102 in Fahrenheit), tell you what I am already missing winter. Well it's an good opportunity to go to the beach and get a good dose of vitamin D , that might improve my demeanour. I know what you mean about change in weather though, I find the same sort of thing with alcohol.
