As A long haul trucker, I am not home on a regular basis, so having a regular ministry at church is impossible. However, I am on the email prayer list, so I get prayer requests sent directly to my phone. We can't underestimate the effectiveness of prayer. Plus, when I am there, if anything needs done, I will help.

Also, when talking to other drivers I have been looking for ways to share the gospel, even if just planting a seed or putting a rock in their shoe.

"We are like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants. We see more, and things that are more distant, than they did, not because our sight is superior or because we are taller than they, but because they raise us up, and by their great stature add to ours." John of Salisbury, 1159

Last Sunday, we visited a church family that has health problems and are usually unable to attend. They were as happy as could be that somebody visited them. Although it was only our third visit, they said that we were the best friends from church that they had.

Sounds like you were a blessing to this family. We should all follow your example.

God bless,
Jeff

I'm sure there's a bunch of little ways that can add up to much. As an example I have a friend who attends a small church, and told her I wanted to make a website for her church if they liked the idea, free of course, just a little site that at least gets their name out there. They are trying to get more members. I told her that I use the internet mainly for my church seeking. It would be a good way to keep it updated if they wanted to, or for them to send messages weekly or something to members. She never took me up on it sadly. Since I know how to do web design I was wanting to do that for her church, but that's just another small way people generally don't think of.
