Since you are new to the ring, Ahem , ah, madhou... kaff, kaff, ah, um... denomination, may I be so bold as to recommend three books: A Summary Of Christian Doctrine By: Edward W.A. Koehler Spirituality Of The Cross By: Gene Edward Veith, Jr. And lastly that tome of Lutheranism (heavy reading here ): Book Of Concord These will give you a strong understanding of Lutheran doctrine, theology and some of the early the history of our Denomination. Definately most of the whys and wherefores. Welcome!

Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. Rev 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater.
