My friend's dream: (in real life this man's wife does not have any ex husbands)
I woke at about 6.00am and had been having a dream and it was with me even as I was awake. I found it hard to go back to sleep .
This man came into our lives and seemed to have total control over us, but mainly my wife. He made her do what he wanted and she seemed to just do it He was her ex husband. I guess they were not divorced because he seemed to have a legal right to be there some how. The police could do nothing. He was violent, abusive and deceptive and my wife would submit to whatever he said or commanded. It was as if she had no control over him or the situation and did what ever he wanted, and he would hit her and I remember seeing blood. I am not sure if I was hurt or not. We were planning to get rid of him somehow but nothing seemed to work. He seemed to be always one step ahead of us. I know I had a plank of wood, and some steel bar to harm him with but it never worked out. I wanted to kill him, but I knew that would mean life in jail, so I was trying to maim him somehow, so that he was out of action, but I could not seem to get to him. If he left, he would keep coming back. I thought of knocking him out and fleeing to somewhere else but was aware that he would find us wherever we were. I saw him take my tools especially a wrench. He covered it with a towel and put it under a cushion, then picked it up and put it in his tool box as if he was just picking up his own wrench to put it away. I challenged him over this reminding him that he owned nothing as he had just got out of jail. The children were of very young age in the dream. The kitchen was not ours but seemed to be mum's place

That is one of what seems to be a series people have been posting.
Regardless, in Jesus we are free and "there is now no condemnation in Jesus Christ". In Jesus Christ there is no accusation against a believer, for the Lord Jesus has taken up the Law onto Himself for all believers.
I'd agree that there does seem to be a series. Very interesting.
Traditions or relations that have been allowed in, not knowing how to fix it.
Mentioned in another thread was a reference to a cross (with the horizontal word faqir (as in faker), but here as to a plank of wood. If this wood speaks to the sacrifice of Christ, why not usably effective?
I had posted this before from Vines Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words about when Christians think of cross, but now in this dream as a plank.
" Cross, Crucify:
denotes, primarily, "an upright pale or stake." On such malefactors were nailed for execution. Both the noun and the verb stauroo, "to fasten to a stake or pale," are originally to be distinguished from the ecclesiastical form of a two beamed "cross." The shape of the latter had its origin in ancient Chaldea, and was used as the symbol of the god Tammuz (being in the shape of the mystic Tau, the initial of his name) in that country and in adjacent lands, including Egypt. By the middle of the 3rd cent. A.D. the churches had either departed from, or had travestied, certain doctrines of the Christian faith. In order to increase the prestige of the apostate ecclesiastical system pagans were received into the churches apart from regeneration by faith, and were permitted largely to retain their pagan signs and symbols. Hence the Tau or T, in its most frequent form, with the cross-piece lowered, was adopted to stand for the "cross" of Christ. "
Typically, we, as Christians, are still "married" to traditions that have crept in over 2000 years. In this case, it is the idea of a T (cross) that Jesus was put on. The truth is more of an I (stake). (Think also of the rod/staff of God.)
So, to deal with "things", as the above poster said, Jesus said the TRUTH shall set you/us free.
Hope this helps
