Myself, for example am communicating things badly to my husband sometimes. I sin in not always being the wife, accepting my husband's authority as written in Eph. 5. I really want this, but I struggle.
This bible passage so clearly discribes what I feel happens inside me wen I do respond bad towards my husband. I reccommend for everyone who struggles with any kind of sin to read it. It is like reading something I could have written myself. It's amazing how the bible can be such a personal read sometimes.
Romans 7: 14-25 14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. 18 And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[ a] I want to do what is right, but I can’t. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. 20 But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. 21 I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. 22 I love God’s law with all my heart. 23 But there is another power[ b] within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. 24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.

I know God arranges our circumstances and puts us with a partner that will work in us what God wants worked, but sigh! Its a tough lesson to truly accept.

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, only to die to find out there is. James 1 2Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. |

I believe that as humans we do all struggle with sin, but struggle differently in the areas in which we are weakest. For example, I don't consider myself as weak in the area of fidelity to my wife. For two months my former wife stayed with us (we share two daughters together) until this past Monday and we all got along wonderfully.
I am weak in the area of money and that is where I am tempted the most I think. Perhaps I am smug thinking that the lust for money is not as bad as the lust for other women. Would I be vain to think so?

It's my understanding that either one will prevent you from getting into heaven, if one is worse then the other then it doesn't matter, becuase as a Christian we should niether lust for money OR other women. |

Well that is why we have Jesus Christ in our hearts. God knows that we are weak and sinful creatures, which is why Jesus came to save us. We can not save ourselves thus we have faith in God that He will save us from ourselves. God is doing a work in each of us to change us from that which we once were.

I don't know, it depends on your perspective. Two things: First Paul says that sexual sin is different than all other sin as it is not outside your own body. 2nd, the betrayal with sexual sin is much worse that others for a spouse. Just my thoughts.
P.S. the only people I know that would consider sexual sin to be the same as others, are people who indulge that sin.
