Here we see Beasts are Kings
23: Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
here we see Daniel is told a beat is a Kingdom.
SO a Beast represents both a Kingdom and the King of fulfilment by that I mean the King of the Kingdom that does or fulfills a spefic prophecy.
So applied to revelation 17 we see that the seven heads are
9: And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10: And there are also seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.11: And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
Once again these heads are Kingdoms and Kings the beast is also both a Kingdom and the King of fulfillment.............in this case the eighth King is the King of fulfillment of a specific prophecy.

Jesus is clearly referring to judas iscariot as the son of perdition.

The 2 olive trees/branches are defined for us in Zec4 as 2 individual prophets, many believe to be Moses and Elijah....
I have a few questions that might show the proof
anyone may answer
1. what does Jesus define the candlesticks as in Rev1 ? 2. how many churches are NOT chastized in any way whatsoever in Rev2-3 ? 3. who are the two distinct groups that make up the two witnesses in Rev11 ?
4. is the church one of those groups ? 5. is the church here against the beast in Rev11 ?
and
6. who does Satan go after when he is cast out of heaven for his short season (hour of temptation), in Rev12 ?
