When Jehovah Witness come knockin'

JWs usually came on Saturdays, where I grew up. Dad was usually home and he would invite them in to talk while he cointinued to work on whatever he was working on - repairing the dryer, painting a room, closiing in the closet. They would take for hours. He figured he wasn't going to be persuaded one bit, and he wouldl enjoy the theological discussion and keep them from influencing anyone else.

If it becomes too much of a bother leave a note next to your door bell with kind words and a text blessing them on their way

In all due respect, with blessings of the only way to God and His True Kingdom through Jesus Christ, the one in whom our salvation can only truly be found in, who lives in His true believers through the Holy Spirit of God.

I sincerely pray that you and others in your predicament will realize the false things you have been thought. Look into your religions history, study who started it and really meditate on what is behind all you believe.

Yes, Christians were told to "shake the dust from our feet if none listen". But we were also told that ALL Scripture is God breathed, and profitable for teaching. 2 Timothy 3:16
We also were told to examine all we hear and test them to the Scriptures.
1 Thessalonians 5:21


If you were to really pray about it and look into the doctrines you follow and test them to the Word of God, you would not like what you found out.
Look into your Watchtower Organization.

Steve, I know it's a stretch from what you have been taught, but oneofChrists is right, He will NOT reject you, all you have to do is believe with your heart and mind that Jesus, God the Son, came to Earth, was destined to die on the cross bearing our sins and became our sin and our curse, proceeded to be rose in three day as He said He would, and that He is Lord of all.

I pray that you will. I pray He will make Himself known to you in a mighty way, and that He will tug your heart and free you of your bondage. In Jesus name. Amen.

Is that true "Witnesses are not interested in debating"? That old man was very interested in debating me and showed some considerable knowledge of Scripture.

Do you consider JW's to be Christians? Perhaps some are individually I would think, but I would encourage them to leave JW's and attend a Christian church.

I am not afraid to engage or debate any person in the Word of God. I don't find JW's intimidating and yes they are respectful. I do find them rather hard-headed when it comes to their beliefs, which seem more rote or brainwashed than lived through communication with God's Spirit. I think what I found peculiar about their Religion is the denial of the Trinity of God and their rejection of redemption of sin through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. The ones I spoke with shied away from the topic of Christ's blood as though it was offensive to them.

No, there is no harm in listening, but as to learning anything from them...that is debatable.

I am always polite, but last time they came to my door I asked the guy if he would rather lead 20 people to Christ or knock on 2000 doors and tell people they were going to hell. He chose the 2000 doors. And he wouldn't let me pray for him.

I'm different because when you're my age you've seen and heard enough of this stuff, it's kind of like getting on a no call list, so telemarketers don't call. I have no problem going the large dog route, because IMO what their doing is rude and an invasion of the privacy of my home, if you will.

One thing about the JWs' though , they can Be down right persistent and If We as Christians having the Holy Spirit guiding, Just think of the potential soul winning that could be accomplished with tenacity such as the JW's have.

I'm not so much saying about this door to door thing, I'm talking about witnessing to anyone that the Holy Spirit is leading us toward. I know that I have not followed His Leading inumerable times , just because I was afraid of being put down, or maybe I wouldn't have a scriptural answer for someone when they asked. I even doubted myself as to; was this God's Spirit Guiding Me? I Know that probably there are some that are so sensitive to Our Lords leading that they are very effective in the ministry that He has led them into. But I also Know there are probably many more that are like Myself and let the opportunities given to us slip out of our reach.

I Know that I could Do a much better Job for My Savior and I seem so intimidated at Times I do Pray about it, that I can approach those who are lost with conviction ,on my part and Boldness. I think some times that through Doubt Satan can have a lot more power than He deserves , Just Because of me and My weakness. Pray for Me Brothers and Sisters In Christ and Pray for all of Us who are weak and intimidated By the Evil one......Dave

I know bro, that is something me and my study group talked about one night. I have to hand it to them, they are crazy passionate.
We need to take a lesson from them, because if we took the actual Truth out and witnessed as determined as they do, something just might be accomplished. Because Jesus promised that if He be lifted up, he will draw all men unto Him.
