The Basij are not an official branch of anything. They are a civil militia with millions of members. We can give them commands, but they are NOT part of our institution.
A) Our national guard is not a national institution. B) The FBI is not military. C) The Pasdaran is another name for the IRGC. D) The Basij is a paramilitary force of the IRGC. E) QED the Basij is Pasdaran. |

Are you kidding me? We have the most technologically advanced military that the world has ever seen, we have the most powerful military that the world has ever seen, we have the most highly trained military that the world has ever seen (as a whole, the Swedish have the highest trained individual troops in their special forces), and our manpower of active, combat ready personnel is FOUR TIMES that of Iran. |

Grenada, Persian Gulf, Panama, Bosnia, Kosovo, all won. Iraq and Afghanistan are not finished yet, and we have pretty much won Iraq. You can't say we have lost until the game is over. Our army is laughable? Name one thing about our Army that is laughable. Besides, the Army is just one branch of our military, the Marines or the Air Force could destroy Iran themselves. |

Actually, we have the resources to turn Iran into a radioactive glass parking lot if we so chose (and I devoutly hope we DO NOT choose to do that).
The question is what set of responses is most likely to yield the return of the hikers while causing the least repercussions and avoiding death or damage to the innocent. And at this juncture I feel compelled to point out that these hikers were rather inept if, in an era of GPS systems, they strayed into Iranian territory. They should have kept at least a mile or so from the border so there could be no doubt.
While I do not believe these people should face a long prison term for what amounted to innocent stupidity, neither do I believe America is under any obligation to put lives and treasure on the line to shield these people from all consequences of their negligence. |

my dear friend, you can turn nothing into a "radioactive glass parking lot". You are weak in geopolitical cases. And you wouldnīt dare to move a finger in the near of russia and china. We are aware of that. |

Kid, why do you come here and try to persuade us that the United States is bad everyday if you don't fear it? |

Again, nuclear weapons. Tehran, Qod and yes, even Ishefan can be made to not exist anymore other than a glass sheet on the ground that will give you cancer. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | | | |
