Thanks for the input.

I remember watching the movie at a theater that had several dozen hippies on the first few rows who, when Bowman descended into the 'star gate' (monolith) they all started dropping acid to enhance the effect of the spectacular light show. I was troubled by that. I had never seen such a thing before.

I don't know what your thinking is in quoting Rev. 2:24, but since there can be no contradictions in God's Word then since we are admonished to expose the works of darkness and not be involved in occult things, that verse can only be a warning against the involvement of the believers in occult things. We are clearly told to not be 'ignorant of Satan's devices' and we cannot warn our brethren against evil things if we don't even know what they are to begin with.

I expose such things so God's children will know enough to stay way from the dark arts altogether.

Best wishes.
If you are all so concerned about the 'dark arts' how come you we in the movies theatre?

You are asking about something that happened over 40 yrs ago.

Let me turn that around on you: if you are truly a 'wayseer' then whose 'way' are you 'seeing' and whom are you concerned about?

I don't really think that there is anything as remotely sinister in the films you mention.
Science fiction is about the future and writing rationally about alternative possibilities.

I don't see what you see and I don't think I could possibly make the same correlation like you do if I tried.

I think B1inhim, was not having a pop at you, he was accusing others here of not being true christians because of the avatars they carry, and that is against the rules quite frankly.

I digress... I see no harm in watching sci-fi and I see no hidden images and would also say that I have never been influenced by the vampire genre I watch or the other vast types of sci-fi I watch and read. I'm sure there are many out there that feel this way too.

If this is what you believe, then believe away, but there are many out there that will disagree with you and they have a right to their oppinions just as you have right to your beliefs.

And?

"I don't really think that there is anything as remotely sinister in the films you mention."

That is because you are far from God, you don't know God's Word, and you don't understand the things of the spirit world.

"I don't see what you see and I don't think I could possibly make the same correlation like you do if I tried."

You don't wish to see it. You don't have the will to see it.

"I think B1inhim, was not having a pop at you..."

I don't either. It was a problem in the wording.

"I digress... I see no harm in watching sci-fi and I see no hidden images and would also say that I have never been influenced by the vampire genre I watch or the other vast types of sci-fi I watch and read. I'm sure there are many out there that feel this way too."

Counsel with people like I have for the last 25 yrs who have been deeply affected by both the themes and symbolism in the movies, books, and magazines they have read. Paranoia, obsessions, addictions, and personal problems of all kinds are caused by the evil spirits who come through those images. Of course, a person must view those things with a receptive eye and a frame of mind that is congenial to the devils so that an open invitation to evil is made in the first place. It doesn't effect everyone the same way.

"If this is what you believe, then believe away, but there are many out there that will disagree with you and they have a right to their oppinions just as you have right to your beliefs."

That makes no difference. The devils of hell don't care who disagrees. They will continue to operate in the lives of countless millions of people just the way they always have and they will continue to use modern entertainment to spread their evil in the lives of those who like what they offer.

Best wishes.

I am not going to debate with you on who is far away from God and who is not. Only God decides and knows those answers. I am no ones judge on that score. I understand a great many things of the spiritworld and have seen things you could not imagine but they are not all of evil descent and with rational thought some supernatural occurrences can be explained as misconceptions.. IOW.. Mistakes and hallucination from mental illness or genuine mistakes from unreliable witnessing and not using sound judgement on the matter and being rash what they have seen.

I believe that most of the people you have counselled really believe those things, they saw , felt and experienced and I do not doubt that, I would question however other alternatives regarding other factors before I would say there was something demonic occurring.

People will see what they want to see, it does not always make it so.

God Bless.

Just before Christmas in 1968 while our NASA astronauts were circling the moon, Stanley Kubrick publicly brought out Arthur C. Clarkes '2001 A Space Odyssey'.

The message was a strong one that life on earth was 'planted' by super-evolved extra-terrestrials who helped mankind to 'evolve' over millions of years. These huge 12 foot monoliths are seen throughout the film. Black as coal and hard as diamond, they represent the mysterious hidden element that helps man along in his 'evolution' over millions of years.

But this contact between the super-energized, highly evolved creatures of pure energy and man was always at a time when the sun, earth, moon, and/or planets and their moons were lined up perfectly.

Like this:

...and like this:

It was as if this was a big tipoff that whenever it happened it was according to precise timing of the super-energized creatures who were 'helping' man along towards godhood. In the end, the hero of the story becomes a godlike 'star child' with enough power to either save or destroy mankind.

I began to realise years ago that there was a hidden, covert satanic element to the movie that was just below the surface but proving it was very hard to do...that is until the sequel came out: 2010 The Year We Make Contact.

The story being that NASA was trying to figure out what the monoliths were all about and who empowered them. During the investigation near the planet Jupiter mankind was receiving messages from an unknown source that said that 'something wonderful was about to happen' that would save mankind from the destruction of WW III. It happened that Jupiter was caused to blow up and it developed into a new sun...which Arthur C. Clarked called...(page 299)

'Lucifer', the new sun, saved the world at the last moment and mankind was spared annhilation. Peace and prosperity came to the world because of 'Lucifer'.

For those of you who don't know: 'Lucifer' is the other name of Satan, the devil. Isaiah 14:12.

All of this is a counterfeit of the prophecy of the coming of Christ Jesus into the world as I shall demonstrate in my next post.
