I had a dream about the Outsiders (book and movie). The story set in the 1960's small town about the teenage fighting between the Greasers (poor kids) and Socials (rich kids).
In my dream there didn't seem to be any Socials. Yet there were two rival gangs. It appears that the Greasers split into to opposing sides. Dally (Matt Dillon) became the "elder" on the new opposing gang, while the Patrick Swayze character stayed the elder on our side (but he wasn't really in the dream). It seemed as if there were counterparts on each side, possibly. I was Ponyboy. My older brother Soda Pop (Rob Lowe) was on our side too. Tom Cruise's character was Soda's counterpart and had crossed to the other side.
There was also a younger member on each gang. The "kids". Apparently the Kid on our team had struck the Kid on the opposing team, possibly a death blow to the nose. Dally had taken the case to court. His dad was involved in the case somehow also.
We lived in a small town, about 50,000-100,000 in size. But it was different from the one in the book. Me and Soda saw Dally (Matt) and his dad coming home from the case. They were in good spirits. His dad was a writer. But he had written an entire shelf full of books (about 20) totally written to Adolph Hitler. Apparently Hitler was still alive in this dream. So it's like their side was more evil.
We were riding our bikes and ran into the two Kids. They were both playing now. Friends. Fortunately, the other side's Kid had recovered well, and this seemed like the start of a new friendship. Possibly a mending of both sides back into unity.

Sounds like a great dream. Change can be hard. People can be afraid they will lose what makes them individual. So, they tend to resist change.
But, not really makes us individual except being who we are.
We wear different clothes, but stay the same person underneath.

Yes I can see where this can be true. We have x more years to go and we will learn how to be more compassionate and understand that we need one another. Stay Blessed!
( i won't say the years because I don't want anyone to get discouraged we are just being realigned by God)
