This week on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on HBO Larry David's Character "accidentally" urinates on a portrait of Jesus. Later in the episode a woman mistakes the urine for tears and thinks she's witnessing a miracle. Not since " The Anti- Jesus Campaign" in the early 90's has there been such an outrageous form of public blasphemy. There is a part of me that rejoices; however, because we know that we should expect this from the hateful non-believer as we approach end-times also.
My goal is to get the word out to as many Christians as possible, so that we can vote with our dollars, cancel our subscriptions to HBO and send a clear message that Christians won't be mocked and insulted without repercussions.
I would also like to start a letter writing campaign to make the voice of the Christian heard by the executives at HBO. If you would like to participate, you can do so, the contact info is below:

I don't know to whose attention you send the letter, but if they receive enough letters, they will get the point. Also, if the letters are hand written they tend to be far more effective than typed.
Join me in this battle. This is spiritual warfare and it's time to use the sword of God's word and engage. With hate crimes legislation just passing illegitimately yesterday also, it's only a matter of time before it will be a crime to speak the truth of God's Word.

This sounds equivalent to the bit in Angela's Ashes where Frank is sick on the day of his first communion and proceeds to throw up in his grandmother's yard after the ceremony - he's then promptly beaten for throwing up Jesus on the ground. |

We (real Christians) are called to be light in the darkness, if you want to continue in the darkness and label yourselves Christians, your reward will come. There was a time Christians were willing to take a stand for Christ. You fools stand for yourselves! It is this type of Christianity that makes those of us who love the Lord get the label hypocrite. I will pray for you, but I doubt it will do any good....

You are just as bad as the Taliban. You want us to get furious over someone pretending to pee on the almost certainty inaccurate PICTURE of Jesus?
It is comedy, get over it. Even if he was REALLY wiping his butt with the bible it is still just a piece of paper. Could you really see the prince of peace getting that angry over this? Jesus was a pretty mellow guy most of the time.

Want to know what sort of labels you get for being exceedingly oversensitive and for thinking pictures of WASP-Jesus can cry?
If you set your dogma to silly levels like crying pictures and transubstantiation, you're far more likely to have them trodden on by people. Is that their fault or yours? I will pray for you, but I doubt it will do any good....
Yeah, it's not like God's omnipotent or anything.
