Interesting points I am still trying to decide what end times view is the one I believe.

Of course I believe it was Billy Graham's wife who said prepare for tribulation but if we get raptured early then good for us.

“Those days”… what days? The days that we see happening before us all day, every day, right now.

Is the “harpazo” of 1 Thes. 4:15-18 the same thing as what we see that Lord Jesus said?
And He shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Did you know that Trumpets is only mentioned in the Gospel of Mattew?

There are also some Partial Preterists that do not view Matt 24 as the same event in Revelation

Matthew 24:31 and He shall be sending His Messengers with a great Trumpet sound and they shall be together-gathering the Called-ones of Him out of the four winds, from extremities of heavens till the extremities of them. [Revelation 8:6]

Revelation 8:6 And the seven Messengers having the seven Trumpets make ready themselves, that they-should-be-Trumpeting/salpizein <4537> (5721)
[Joshua 6:4/Matt 24:31]

I could use some more input on this thread

It's not even "too much Old Testament", in the Old Testament God is compassionate, shows mercy, is patient and long-suffering. Consider the lesson we learn from Jonah, or the word delivered to Ezekiel that God does not desire the death of the wicked, that God takes no pleasure or joy in the destruction of the wicked by desires that that the wicked repent and change their ways so they might live and have life. God has always been a merciful, compassionate, kind and patient God who has no desire for the destruction of the wicked, who has loving-kindness for the sinner and for the wicked person to change their ways and truly live and have life. -CryptoLutheran

They believe only about half of the Olivet Discourse is fulfilled from what I know but there is also some confusion about that. Here is a site by a Partial Preterist if thou art interested

Welcome to the PreteristSite! So exactly what is all this for? The purpose of this page is to list references and sources for orthodox preterist study and research.
