I think we agree. I'm confused, and lost now. But whatever.
OK.
You can say that as much as you wish, but insulting the basis of the Scientific Method doesn't give you a ticket to invent a scientific theory without having to follow the rules, same as every other scientific/historical theory.
Calling science limited is no insult, it is an observation. It is, by it's own nature, limited to present nature. Present laws.
It is therefore not qualified, or able to look beyond these present realities. If the future, for example, is a different universe than we know, like the new heavens coming, no science we have is relevant. So, how do we establish what will be? Or, conversely, what was? We don't. We merely sit here as observers in this state, and imagine it applies far far far into the future, or far far far into the past.
All that is pretty well covered before the thread came along.
Here, we are looking at the universe we see, far far far away. We are trying to determine if our assumptions are right, and can be supported, in that all the universe is the same state as nearby.
If redshift was caused by the light that was affected by coming to exist in this state, then what we see way out there is not our light moving away from us, causing redshift. If we see hydrogen atoms that appear to have flipped, compared to what we have here, I have to ask, what really flipped them, or,---even, possibly, are they in the true state far away, and flipped here? Basically we are looking at what we actually absolutely know, and what we actually have to work with to make deductions.

Dude, it's not scientific or historical theory. It's the HI theory.

I would point out that knowing what the universe and laws will be like in the future is not scientific or historical theory. Yet, they claim that the universe will go dark, and die.
I will point out that the same is true for the time of early earth, yet they makes multitudinous, great swelling claims about it.

And if it wasn't for the HI theory, you would be wrong.

If that is all that keeps me from being right, I am not worried. Tell me, can this theory, unlike science, wave away the new heavens of the bible, and eternal life?

Something he invented because he could not debate.
