Reps: 409,023,927,841,344,704 (power: 409,023,927,841,365) | | | Unfortunately, few bishops come from religious orders--Cardinal O'Malley from Boston is a Franciscan, and I believe that many South American bishops come from missionary orders such as the Jesuits, but it is rare in the U.S.
I am sure that if there were more monastics serving as bishops that this ministry would be greatly enriched.
