Vices are like pet snakes. You find one that gives you pleasure and feed it, not seeing the potential danger. As the snake grows, it demands more and more of you. Soon you are begging, borrowing or stealing to feed your vice.

Now the snake is squeezing your throat and you will do just about anything to make it let go. The question is, "What will you do?"

The Christian solution is to admit your addiction, your inability to pay and gain absolution through bankruptcy. A bankruptcy counselor will be able to guide you through the process.

Hi faithkatie,

What I would suggest is getting in touch with a Christian Debt Service - I know that here in the UK there is a charity called Christians Against Poverty - which provides free debt advice and works with you in order to reduce your debts, negotiate better payment terms etc.

Maybe someone knows of a similar kind of charity in the US?

Sorry not to be able to be of more help.

Jarvo
