I live in a country that is social democratic, and to be honest I'll take it over the American way of life any day. At least our citizens dont have to pop over to Australia to get their prescriptions filled because they cant afford to get them in the States
Sorry, I have yet to see an arguement against socialised medicine that isnt either based on complete hysteria, urban myths or a case, or a couple of cases taken completely out of context with little or no attention given to the fact that it was a complete impossibility that the treatement could have been carried out and actually had any benefits for the patient

I work with a guy who HAS dental insurance and chooses to go to Mexico to get dental work cheaper. America, unlike most industrialized nations doesn't cap RX prices. If I came up with a cure for all types of cancer I could charge a million dollars a microgram for it and watch people die.
