The only true reform IMO would be single-source government-run health care. Since that is out of the question, then I tend to agree: let's scrap the whole thing. But a strong public option is sort of a compromise.
If by government run you mean they collect the dues and then bid them out to private companies who compete for the business, then sure.
The biggest problem is people aren't paying dues. A lot of the people without insurance choose not to have it.
You have large debts already and I am skeptical about the 'socialism'.
Abortion funding within set parameters is fairly standard amongst other countries so I would hardly call it hardcore left.
Well I have no say in the policies of other countries. In fact, I would like to close all of our foreign bases and let other countries defend themselves but that is for another thread I suppose. As a Christian and a human being, I think abortion is cold blooded murder and I won't have the crazed liberals taking my money to pay for it.
Well there is hope if we can get these reckless spenders out of office. Otherwise we will be a socialist country with crippling debts.
We've gotten the reckless spenders out of office already, the Replublicans, you know the ones that keep raising our debt faster than the Democrat presidents.

Your healthcare is the laughing stock of the world. Sheep though most Republicans are, some intelligent conservatives can see healthcare being a basic human right. I personally believe Obama needs to fo further and try and implement a NHS style healthcare system, but no doubt selfish and ignorant Americans such as yourself will make that very hard for him.
