Tuesday, October 27, 2009, 6:05 a.m. – Last night as I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep I had a vision. Satan was fighting me during this time, so I did not get up and write it down. Then, this morning when I sat down to have my quiet time with the Lord, the Lord brought to mind the parts of the vision that he wanted me to remember, minus the parts where Satan was fighting me.
THE VISION: The first thing I saw was soldiers. They may have been officers. They appeared to be in dress uniform. Then I heard the name “General Petraeus” followed by “General McChrystal.” Then I heard, “They are cut out of the same mold.” Next I heard in my mind “Scarecrow and Mrs. King.” I also saw something that was metal and that was in the shape of a bird or a bird’s head. It was like a metal sculpture of a bird or a bird head and I felt as though it was on the front of a military vehicle. It was facing or was heading east. END

Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening. I read Micah 1:
The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Moresheth during the reigns of Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah—the vision he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. 2 Hear, O peoples, all of you, listen, O earth and all who are in it, that the Sovereign LORD may witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.
Judgment Against Samaria and Jerusalem 3 Look! The LORD is coming from his dwelling place; he comes down and treads the high places of the earth. 4 The mountains melt beneath him and the valleys split apart, like wax before the fire, like water rushing down a slope. 5 All this is because of Jacob's transgression, because of the sins of the house of Israel. What is Jacob's transgression? Is it not Samaria? What is Judah's high place? Is it not Jerusalem?
6 "Therefore I will make Samaria a heap of rubble, a place for planting vineyards. 13 You who live in Lachish, harness the team to the chariot. You were the beginning of sin to the Daughter of Zion, for the transgressions of Israel were found in you. 14 Therefore you will give parting gifts to Moresheth Gath. The town of Aczib will prove deceptive to the kings of Israel.
15 I will bring a conqueror against you who live in Mareshah. He who is the glory of Israel will come to Adullam. 16 Shave your heads in mourning for the children in whom you delight; make yourselves as bald as the vulture, for they will go from you into exile.
My Understanding: I’m praying this through.
I really don’t know much about Gen. Petraeus or Gen. McChrystal, so I don’t yet understand the phrase “cut out of the same mold” unless this is speaking metaphorically of something else or unless this is saying that McChrystal’s style of leadership is just like Petraeus’. In that case, I would need to understand more about General Petraeus. It is difficult to find unbiased information about him.
I did use to watch the TV show “Scarecrow and Mrs. King” when it played on TV. I have always been a fan of police, detective, mysteries and court room dramas. I don’t watch anything anymore, but detective or spy stories were always of interest to me, so I am familiar with that TV series, though it was a long time ago. I have a sense that the Lord is paralleling that TV show somehow over to these two generals, like they are in some type of a secret partnership. I was surprised to learn, in my reading, that their authority went beyond just the USA soldiers, though that should not surprise me. Micah 1 is talking about corrupt leadership in capital cities.
I believe this in reference to the recent violence and deaths in Afghanistan and in Iraq as well as during the past years of occupation by the US and NATO troops since 2001 and 2003, respectively. Their capital cities are Kabul and Baghdad, respectively. This passage of scripture in Micah 1 is talking about two capital cities. And, they are being conquered by another country. So, it appears that we are the conquerors, we being this international security assistance force (ISAF).
I did notice that there was a distinct reference to a bird in Micah 1 and the bird was a vulture. A vulture is a “predator; scavenger; hunter; searcher; feeds on the dead; and/or it is somebody who waits for the chance to exploit somebody else when that person is vulnerable” (Encarta). The reference was for the people to make themselves as bald as the vulture in the sense of shaving their heads in mourning over the dead. There was a metal bird sculpture of some kind that was in this vision.
Someone sent me this link today about a metal bird - Air Force Bugbots Micro Air Vehicle (MAVs) buglike drones - Air Force Bugbots. These drones look like metal locusts. The thing is that I did feel as though these metal birds were on the front of military vehicles of some kind.
All this ties together – the Generals, Scarecrow and Mrs. King and these metal birds. Micah 1 paints a picture of capital cities as being the source of the sin of the country and the reason for their downfall (spiritually and otherwise) and that God’s judgment would begin at these capitals. What I see is that our sin, i.e. the sin of the USA has been these occupations in Afghanistan and Iraq, though, and I believe the judgment is truly against us.
My Zondervan NIV Bible Commentary says that Micah “singled out the capitals because the leaders of these centers of influence were largely responsible for the social ills of that time.” It also suggested that Jerusalem was singled out because of the corruption of its leaders. I see the US as providing the leadership in these capital cities, in particularly in Iraq. I have this strong sense that God is singling out these two generals here because their leadership is what has led to this, though I admit I don’t completely understand all of this at this time. I pray the Lord will grant me further understanding when the time is right.

Thank you. I am seeing more about them but need time to put it together. I think what you are saying here fits. I read an article today about how the NATO troops outnumber the Taliban 12-1. It seems to me that would be enough. I read another article (mentioned above) about someone who worked for the US government as a civilian in Afghanistan who quit because he was disallusioned over the war. He stated that when we go into each of these villages, they are their own people. And, they are fighting us because we are the invaders. He said that our presence there is what is igniting all of this violence.

Makes perfect sense. Men and women are being seriously injured and some dying over there and our government continues on with the war with little explanation. May God be with those troops supporting their families and following orders.

Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Scarecrow thought he had no brain, but he did. Mrs. King is married to Mr. King. So, this refers to the mind of Christ.
1 Cor. 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Petraeus -- means rock/stone.
McChrystal-- means son of ice.

So, this is a call to Christians on a spiritual level, to those with the mind of Christ, to move with the leading of the Spirit, guided by the Bible (what is already revealed), being ready in and out of season.

The Lord gave me this vision on Tuesday about the two generals, Scarecrow and Mrs. King and these metal birds on the hoods of military vehicles that were heading east. Then, I read this first Yahoo news article on Tuesday about these drones (predators) that the USA is using in Afghanistan and in Pakistan to hit specific targets. [Notice that “predator” is one of the words used to describe the vulture – reference v. 16.]
This first article states that “US strikes with remote-controlled aircraft against Al-Qaeda and Taliban targets in Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan have often resulted in civilian deaths and drawn bitter criticism from local populations.”
A UN specialist, Philip Alston said, “I would like to know the legal basis upon which the United States is operating, in other words… who is running the program, what accountability mechanisms are in place in relation to that.”
Then, on Wednesday, Hillary Clinton arrived for a three day visit to Pakistan. On the first day of her visit, “a terrorist blast in Peshawar that killed 105 Pakistanis, revealed clear signs of strain between the two nations despite months of public insistence that they were on the same wavelength in the war on terror,” according to this second Yahoo news article.
Further on down in the article it stated this significant (to this vision) bit of information:
“As she sparred with Pakistani citizens and journalists, Clinton faced sharp questions about the secret U.S. program that uses unmanned aircraft to launch missiles to kill terrorists along the porous, ungoverned border with Afghanistan. But she refused to go into detail about the classified strikes that have killed both key terror leaders and bystanders, long a source of outrage among Pakistan’s population despite an equally deadly campaign of militant-spawned bombings. Asked repeatedly about the drones, a subject that involves highly classified CIA operations, Clinton said only that “there is a war going on.” She added that the Obama administration is committed to helping Pakistan defeat the insurgents.”
Ok, this is key to understanding this vision, I believe. If you think about Hillary Clinton and do a semi-comparison to the role of “Mrs. King” in the vision, I think we have our “Mrs. King.” A king is similar to a president. Her husband was the president of the USA and I believe he still is highly influential behind the scenes world-wide (see Clinton’s Global Initiative website). Mrs. King met Scarecrow and she ended up going to work for the agency and she ended up partnering with Scarecrow. In a sense, Hillary was Mrs. King (married to the president), then she wasn’t “Mrs. King” anymore when her husband was no longer president, but then she went to work for the “agency”, i.e. the US government and she ended up partnering with Obama (the Scarecrow). It fits Obama, as the Lord has often shown me him as an empty suit that someone else was inside and a lip syncer for someone else’s words and a marionette while someone else is pulling the strings.
Also, Scarecrow and Mrs. King were “secret” agents. They even kept their relationship secret from their friends, co-workers and family. And, this article speaks of “highly classified CIA operations,” which again is another reference to the “Scarecrow and Mrs. King” scenario. The two generals represent the military, but not just the US military, as one of them commands an international force and the other previously commanded a multi-national force. So, these “secretive” operations that are going on are not just from the USA. This is international. This is the NWO or whatever it is really called. This is the Knights of the Round Table (the world) that work for the red dragon (Satan). This is about this final earthly kingdom that is ruling the world before Jesus’ return.
That brings me to the scriptures. This passage of scripture is a prophecy about judgment against not only Samaria and Jerusalem, but against the whole earth (see v. 2). The Lord himself is coming down to judge the world. He treads the “high places” of the earth, i.e. these capital cities. And, he is doing this because of his people’s transgression. Their transgressions are these capital cities. God is judging these rulers of the earth. Disaster has come from the Lord.
Then, in v. 15 it says, “I will bring a conqueror against you.” Revelation tells us who this conqueror is. Ultimately, it is the Lord but he is using an instrument of judgment of his choosing. This “conqueror” is referred to by several names – the beast, the false prophet, the final king, the antichrist, the red dragon, etc. Basically he represents this final kingdom that God will allow to rule over his people for 3.5 years at which time Christians will be severely persecuted and killed for their faith in Jesus Christ. And, I believe the Lord is showing us that the conqueror is already here and he has already begun his dirty work. The Lord is showing me much about this “Beast” that is using intimidation tactics in order to rule the earth. This is that Secret Police (like the Gestapo) that he showed me a day or so later. This is a secret organization - partnership of people. This is that return of a Hitler-like regime, only this is world-wide. They operate much like the mob.
God is calling on his people to mourn, weep and wail over their sins and to turn back to God and to Jesus Christ and to make the Lord Jesus the Lord of their lives because we are on the brink of this evil day that was foretold about long, long ago, and time is running out. If you are not following the Lord Jesus with your life, please make that decision to give your heart to him today while it is still day. We don’t know if we have tomorrow.

Yes, God is definitely calling out to Christians to move with the leading of the Holy Spirit... and he is also calling out to Christians to repent of sin, to turn from any sinful lifestyles that are prohibitive to this moving with the leading of the Spirit in their lives, and to turn back to Jesus as their frist love and to follow his leading, and to be guided by his holy words instead of being led by the patterns of this world.
