Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
.The world will have a different opinion when they see him perform an act that you guys say you can't even explain: abiogenesis.
AV, I did my senior research paper on abiogenesis. It's not completely there, true, it's not 100% worked out. But we are so close, you wouldn't believe (actually I seriously doubt that you would). We might not be able to explain it exactly, but right now we have a pretty good idea.
It will be a strong enough theory to be taught in schools right along side evolution before the end of your life, of this I am confident.

Well, I hope that you're just as confident that we Christians will be right there saying that abiogenesis, as it applies to initial life in the universe, didn't occur.

Correction, you creationists. Not all Christians share your mindset AV.
And yes, clearly you will.

I believe you've already made laconicstudent's and theladykate's acquaintance.
And be careful where you tread AV. Claiming someone is not christian who identifies as one is against forum rules.
As I'm fond of saying:
Genesis 1 pwns evolution.
Genesis 1:1 pwns atheism.
Genesis 1:1a pwns abiogenesis.
Mmmhmm, ok AV, you keep on saying that.

I'd like to meet one.
I have a very good question for him.

Hello AV, nice to meet you.

Isaiah 8:12-13 (NIV) "Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread."

If someone says they are a Christian, I never assume otherwise.
I learned that style of debating from Bob Larson, who treated every caller that claimed he was a Christian as if he were a Christian.
The thing I don't do, is when someone claims to be a former Christian, treat them as if they are not saved.
I believe in the doctrine of Eternal Security, so even if someone like Thaumaturgy claims he was once saved, but now isn't, I will treat him as if he is my brother-in-Christ.
You're fond of saying a lot of things. Usually that have nothing to do with the thread topic.
