I read this as a dis of conservatives. Why not let conservatives have a forum where we are not "pitied" by non conservatives who post in our forum?

Not most.
Some.
You could even say "a few" and it would work for me.
I invite you to prove how what I stated is inaccurate.
And how exactly do you know I'm a "non conservative"? I'll have you know I've been a member of this forum in good standing for a while now. This is indeed "our forum" and I'm part of it.
ETA: Take note that I am not refering to conservatives on this forum. I am speaking generally of folks here, on tv and that I know personally. I have a feeling some are taking my comments personally and they should not be.
I'll say this also. The greater majority of conservatives I know personally are wonderful people. The folks I'm refering to are definitely in the minority. It really is too bad tho that they tend to be loud and drown out the rest of the crowd.
Many of my long time friends are conservative and I love them dearly and do not include them in my comments here that have been negative. And some of them have been making statements identical to the ones I have made here.

If you agree with the CC statement of faith, then I withdraw my concern. Your wording in the post seem to place you at a distance.

Why so much attention to the negative? Can't we discuss here?
I prefer discussing in a peaceful manner. I don't believe that we have to be on the attack mode just because we don't agree on some things. I think I got off to a wrong start with you because I thought you did not understand the intent of my post, which was to point out that we will come under attack in the World because of our conservative views.
I am very conservative when it comes to the Word of God. I will not tolerate liberal views that ignore those parts of the Bible that conflict with their moral relativist mindsets. Thus when I speak the truth of the Word I am quite often attacked as a bigot and a racist for not agreeing with the current liberal trends that run through our society, such as abortion and homosexual marriage.

Well I thank you for the thoughtful post. It is always good to talk things out and see where the other person is coming from before making asumptions. My initial post was on the brief side, so I'm sorry if I came off as being short and insulting. Twas not my intent.
I think we would mostly agree on the abortion issue and not as much on the homosexual marriage. I'm ok with meeting halfway and keeping things civil.
I came into this thread because the topic is one that I have been close to for a while here. I've started one or two "bridge building" threads (a long time ago now I think!) here if memory serves. Basically so we can all get to know each other so we can get past the name calling and stereotypes that seem to plague both ends of the spectrum honestly.
So your concern and your desire to start this thread is definitely a valid one.
