and I continue to be amazed that so many of the people who are so quick to defend Mr.Smith are less familiar with the BoM, D&C, PoGP and many of the varius teaching and manueals of thier church than I am.

Why would you be so predisposed to pore over our books; something eating at you?
If you believe what God has to say about "His EKKLESIA" then why do you fight with every fabric of your being against it?
for you to even make the claim that I am fighting against THE EKKLESIA with "every fabric of my being" betrays you.
Only El Shaddai knows what is in my heart.
For you to hae the audacity to make the claim that you you know what is in "every fabric of my being" is to make the claim that YOU are El Shaddai.

I have invested serious time and study, at the prompting of some of your young men, to search out what your orginization has to offer. While it is true that I went beyound their recomendations, I dug deep before I reached the decision NOT to make a commitment to the L.D.S.
It is evident that you have not done the same.

no that is not the point, the point was that there ARE NOT any records.
The statement (or rather, the implication) was made that since royalty could trace their ancestors back to Adam and Eve that that meant that everyone could. I'd go more to the opinion that that is the exception to the rule rather than the rule. Unless one can trace their ancestors back to royalty (who could afford to keep records), then they are out of luck. Not only could people not afford to keep records, they couldn't even read to attempt to do it themselves. I think we need to look at the situation realistically rather than point to an extreme case and suggest that because they (the kings and queens) could do it, that means that everyone can do it.
