Nightmare (this one is real) no kidding

Perhaps this is payback for my last nightmare post?

OK. Dad was in the hospital, and, using me, God raised him.

Then Mom died. My baby sister went over the edge. She called me and told me God told her I was supposed to resurrect my mother. I tried to explain to her that it was God and not myself that raised Dad and, that, I could do nothing of myself without leading, guidance, empowerment, etc.

Mom wanted to be cremated, no autopsy, quick funeral, no fanfare. Immediately after her death her body was frozen. At the service my baby sister would not leave her body, holding up the next service. She called for me to come and pray with her to resurrect my mother (this makes me feel ill). At the behest of the funeral home, and, my family I went to my sister's side and prayed over my mother's corpse.

Her eyes were opened but soul-less, her body was frozen, lifeless. My baby sister was for some reason elated by my presence. Satiated by my prayer and presence she was able to leave my mother's body.

I stayed with mom's body till it went through the fire and turned to ash.

On occasion I have dreams that, are related to that incident at her funeral. Last night was one of them. I dreamed I carried my mother's body into a room and wept over her death. Suddenly she opened her eyes but, they were dead eyes, she then raised her head, with her dead eyes, then fell upon the floor motionless for a moment. Then raised up her head. In the dream I cried out "Oh Momma, momma!

Then I awoke.

I don't know what transpired during that period when I tried to aid my baby sister's insanity, but, something happened, and, it's haunted me ever since.

Reminder to self: This too will pass!

Is the first part real and the second part the nightmare?

I have a friend and God used him to raise his father also after his death. His father then died a few years later.

That is really creepy.

I don't know what to make of it. The death metaphor and mother metaphor are matters I think on a lot, though.

We watched 1408 this weekend. I normally hate horror movies, but this one had some great points about it. What does one expect from John Cusack? Maybe check that out, give yourself some perspective.

We go through the wringer. I don't really know the meaning of it all. But go through the wringer we do.

It does something good in the end.

Or God would not allow it.

Is everyone alive in real life? Or were there associated memories that might be useful in understanding who each character represents.

OK. Dad was in the hospital, and, using me, God raised him.

Someone/something that you had considered your oversight, you were able to help in their time of weakness. Just using established resources larger than yourself (or God of course).

Then Mom died.
Another entity that had been your coverage and stability was suddenly gone, with no chance for return.

My baby sister went over the edge.

A peer, someone else involved under this coverage and close companionship.

She called me and told me God told her I was supposed to resurrect my mother.
From a distance, this peer designated it your responsibility to make things work again. You knew you were not skilled or competent to enact the change, but felt obligation to try. You recognized that it was not your own doing the last time -- you were just a vehicle for change.

(Like Reagan declaring the wall should come down.)

I tried to explain to her that it was God and not myself that raised Dad and, that, I could do nothing of myself without leading, guidance, empowerment, etc.

You were open and honest about your real limitations.
(The US takes a stand in many things, and funds many aid projects, but is in an economic crisis now.)

Mom wanted to be cremated, no autopsy, quick funeral, no fanfare.
Glossing over, expediting, minimizing public awareness. Hiding evidence that can't be retrieved later. Self-contained destruction. Self-induced closure of the facts surrounding the end.

Doesn't that sound like many things going on these days! Gr, no further comment.

Immediately after her death her body was frozen.

Entity still exists, but in viewable state only. Not a cell living. Preserved with the illusion that it could be resuscitated later, but everyone knows it won't and can't.

Again, the immediacy kept others from getting involved in the decision process. Like a state of emergency that creates its own special exceptions.

At the service my baby sister would not leave her body, holding up the next service.
Stubborn refusal to let it go -- valuing it too highly, and maybe even wanting more information before agreeing to accept the death.
(Let's hope this isn't a Constitution dream.)

She called for me to come and pray with her to resurrect my mother (this makes me feel ill). At the behest of the funeral home, and, my family I went to my sister's side and prayed over my mother's corpse.
Everyone was involved in trying to resurrect what was cherished, what was the stability and driving force of your home. But the tools used were communication, and you doubted that you had the strength in yourself to accomplish what you needed to.

Her eyes were opened but soul-less, her body was frozen, lifeless.
Was aware, maybe could see but not respond or function. You knew the ability to see was not real. It reminds me of when a funeral director might open or close the eyes, depending on what the family wants (usually closed).

As though there was an outside entity saying, "we will build a library and museum to store the documents and artifacts." Appearing to have sight.

My baby sister was for some reason elated by my presence. Satiated by my prayer and presence she was able to leave my mother's body.

I stayed with mom's body till it went through the fire and turned to ash.

I went back and highlighted the part that was a dream: what precedes the dream took place.

I've had good dreams, beautiful dreams about Mom also. I thought these ghoulish ones had stopped. Perhaps it the time of year. The previous nightmarish dreams I had about that incident all had Mom approaching me with no eyes at all.

That's my mind dealing with the memory of her lifeless eyes. It was quite an unnatural thing to stand there praying over her dead frozen body looking into her eyes and asking God to resurrect her.

Short of calling the police however, there was no removing my little sister from the service hall. She'd spent the night outside the funeral home praying and believing God would raise her.

You probably think my interpretation was weird, but someone sent me this video link today -- quite significant.
