Surely this is a exaggeration. For example a lock on my door will give me security. Unless you wat to say that God's love is the condition of that lock existing in the first place, that is.
I'm pretty sure he wasn't talking about physical security.

"There are only two kinds of people in the end: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, in the end, "Thy will be done.""
-C.S. Lewis, The Great Divorce (emphasis mine)
"You must be imaginative, strong-hearted. You must try things that may not work, and you must not let anyone define your limits because of where you come from. Your only limit is your soul."
-Chef at the beginning of Ratatouille
I agree, to seek God and accept Christ into your heart is to find satisfaction, joy, respect. You can also find a lot of advice on how to be satisfied in Proverbs.
"He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it." Prov. 11:27
"A generous man will prosper; he who refreshs others will himself be refreshed" Prov 11:25
"He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgement." prov 12:11
Dear lukeschofield. Pfrattali says it all, with God on our side who can be against us? As for the lock on your door, God gave us brains to think with, and in many places a lock on our door is sensible. But a lock on our door only protects us for the moment, whereas God is with us day and night. I say this with love, luke. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
