Shortly after getting to Mexico, I began volunteering at the animal shelter. "Anna" was the only survivor of a litter of German Shepherd mongrels someone found in a dry river bed. I had to train her to walk on a leash, the inevitable happened, and she's been our dog for four years now.
Two months ago, she got hit by a car, dislocating her leg. We agreed that if the vet wanted more than $100, we would have her put to sleep. He told me $250, I took one look at Anna, and I agreed.
She usually walks on all four legs now, and the vet says that she will recover completely.
That's great. It brought tears to my eyes. You are another pet loving person who goes the extra mile. God bless you.

Wonderful to hear she made it, and that you are such loving owners blessed with a beautiful dog.
