We have been believing for some upgrades to our children's facility for several months. My wife is the children's minister and although we have a children's auditorium is doubles as a multi purpose room and is pretty boring with beige walls and not many resources.
So first of all our church board voted to let us do whatever we want with the auditorium. Now you have to understand that this room has been used to hold women's conferences and such for years so this is a big step to let us paint it lime green & purple, decorate, add video games, etc. They decided that having it look attractive to children was more important than having it 'presentable' to use for adult functions so that was step number one.
Step number two was believing for finances and a few weeks ago my wife and I started getting a little down and a little whiny about not having the finances to do the upgrade but we corrected ourselves immediately and pressed in with prayer and faith that the finances were on the way no matter how the circumstances looked.
That same night three local businessmen went together and gave us $3800.00 to upgrade our children's auditorium.
Pressing brings the blessing!  |
