I'm new to the the forum, and just attempting to figure it all out. I have a question about the name of this group. "Methodist/ Nazarene" I was born in the Methodist Church but raised out side it and them return to it many years later. I find it to have become very liberal in it's belief of the Bible. But I have been attending a local Nazarene Church because of its conservative in its belief in the Bible as the word of God. I know that the Nazarene has it's roots in the Methodist Church, but much different. Is the Wesley;s Parish Methodist or Nazarene? which is it connected to?

More later as I learn more about this group.
Wesley's Parish is for those who theologically follow John Wesley. So that would be Methodist, Nazarene, Wesleyan and others.
Though I feel none of these church's are 100% of all of Wesley's teaching and ideals.
Some have made the Sacrements symbolic. He believed in the Real Presence of Body and Blood of the Eucharist and the Regeneration of Baptism. And throughly believed in infant Baptism, I think the Nazerene's are phasing this out or would prefer Adult Believer's Baptism.
Some have been laxed on Entire Santification , while some are very strong in it.
He was VERY liturgical in Nature and felt the Liturgy was the way to truely worship.
I think CotN, UMC and others retained parts of Wesley's teachings and ideals but I don't think anyone truely encompasses most of his.
Probaby the one thing that all held on to is Arminsism (spelling?)/ Free Will.
He had a very high view of Mary and I do believe he actually prayed the Rosary.
Probably a very High Anglo Catholic would come closest to how Wesley actually practiced.

Actually, the CotN isn't phasing out infant baptism. There is a growing movement of Nazarene pastors who are more Wesleyan minded than American Holiness Movement minded. They are the ones who would be more open to infant baptism. The denomination isn't phasing it out...but since it is up to the parents and the pastor as to what happens [baptism or dedication], it can seem like it if one encounters too many pastors that do dedications and not baptisms.
