Creation & EvolutionForum for the discussion of this important topic. This forum is open to non-believers. There is a Christians-only forum in the Christians-only section too.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
This is a more detailed account of how God created man. God Himself breathed life into man to make man a living soul. So man is unique from all other living creatures. Beasts, fish, and fowl were created by God on previous days. Only man had his first breath from God, and only man was made in the image and likeness of God.
So God is made of dust?

The so-called theory of evolution is backward. Darwin said some slime or ooze of some sort got together magically and struggled through being toads or whatever. Those slime oozes would have needed unbelievable timing to ooze into a male and a female at the same time. Bluntly, it didn't happen. The so-called missing link is still missing, but there should be millions of them if the theory of evolution is true. The news flash is that the theory of evolution has been busted, but so-called science is hanging onto it to save face. So-called science has already lost face on this one. They just don't admit it yet - theory to farce.
This is so unbelievably wrong I don't even know where to begin.

I'm no creationist, but as a Christian, I'm embarassed by that.

Lady Kate, I'm not sure what your are embarrased about. Could you give some detail?
Probably that the junk he posted in no way reflects the actual Theory of Evolution? Just my guess.

Genesis 1:26-27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Man is not a beast, a fowl, or a fish. God said that He created man in "our image and likeness". This is not true for a beast, fowl, or fish. "Our" is the reference to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit - the Triune God - the Holy Trinity. Man was the crown of God's Creation and was made a tripartite being (body, soul, and spirit). Man was given dominion over all living creatures. Further, man was given the intellect and moral capacity to be accountable to God. No other creature fits this description.
Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Man can choose to believe either God or Charles Darwin. I'll believe God and consider Darwin to be a fry short of a happy meal.

God said that man was perfect from the start. Man disobeyed God and was punished. It's called the "fall of man" - not the rise of man.
This thread generated a great number of reports and it is closing for staff review. If you prefer to flame each other instead of discussing there is no purpose to this!

afflictions which the Lord sends are not great men imagine them
beyond their strength and are crushed by them. This is because
they will not humble their souls and commit themselves to the will
of God. But the Lord Himself guides with His grace those who are
given over to God's will, and they bear all things with fortitude
for the sake of God Whom they have so loved and with Whom they are

world but the man who is giver over to the will of God bears
tribulation easily, seeing it but putting his trust in the Lord,
and so his tribulations pass.
