Hi everybody, I hope it's okay that I put this prayer request in here and not in some other section. It's kinda weird considering the fact that none of us have ever seen each other or talked in person, and despite all the myriad of differences there are on this forum, I almost feel like we're friends who keep up with each other's lives.Anyway, to the point: my daughter was taken to the ER last night after she blacked out...she's very sick and it turns out she has a nasty case of swine flu and, to her surprise, an advanced case of strep throat. She's very, very sick. She's 24, her name is Katie, and she's the one whose picture I have proudly displayed down there in my signature. I'm frustrated because she lives in California and I'm here in Missouri and I can't get ahold of her personally. So if you all wouldn't mind thinking of her in your prayers when you have a moment, I'd really, really appreciate it. Thank you.

Saying prayers for Katie. This swine flu has gotten a little scarey. My bestfriends son just came down with it yesterday.

Praying for her... I was just diagnosed with swine flu this morning , but I'm not as bad as your beautiful daughter seems to be. I'll be praying for her healing!
Thanks so much everybody, and for those who also have the flu, we will keep you in our prayers as well. Scary stuff.I just heard from Katie via text message, she just got home from the hospital. She said she couldn't talk, it hurt too much, so I really don't know any other details. I expressed concern over my little grandson getting it and she said he's already gotten it, too. Sigh.You all made my day with your support, thank you so much.

Oh....I feel badly...I just now noticed this. I will pray for Katie's healing, Dori. Is she near me in California? Pm me if ya want. I know how difficult it is to be separated by the miles and wanting to be there to help.
