It seems to me that if you are willing to seek discussion here at CF you should be open to anything and everything that comes your way. If not you are trying to form the forum to your own persautions and beliefs. I would rather have mass chaos.

God didn't send His Son to pay for the forgiveness of your sin, and then decide He is going to require you to make installment payments. He only requires you to believe that the FULL PAYMENT was done, over 2000 yr. ago..........then you'll stop trying to make the installments on something you could never pay for anyway. The Good News is that you are debt free!

There was so much more harmful stuff going on surrounding his Lakeland circus before this event ever took place. This really isn't a case where a brother needs to be restored, but rather a case where a wolf in sheep's clothing needs to become an actual sheep.

It’s looks to me like those who laid hands suddenly on a very undeserving man are just trying to justify their mistake. Digging the hole they fell into is a lot harder than climbing out of it. IMO.
Personally, I think we should see some “fruit meet for repentance” before we lay hands on Bentley again.
For some of us it really doesn’t matter. We never followed (or contracted) TB anyhow.

I found the whole thing too seedy. Tried to watch a bit and then thought, 'why'? I guess my overall conclusions are why are people trying to justify someone for a leadership position because of their supernatural gifting. The gifts are irrevocable and they're described as 'gifts' rather then character, for a reason.
I have few issues generally speaking with someone operating in their gifts after repentence for some sort of serious sin, but leadership........ yet that's what people with big giftings generally get pushed into regardless under the current model of the church.
Todd Bentley (and everyone else who doesn't qualify) should be nowhere near a leadership position in any church (and never should have been) but a gift is a gift. If he's got a healing gift then he should be allowed to operate in it. I would however limit him from preaching since he just hasn't earned the right from what I can see. He isn't qualified to lead and people automatically equate preach and lead together because of how we've been trained.
On top of that churchs can automatically give anyone with a big gift the microphone and let them loose. And this sort of thing can happen as a result.
Why was this man allowed to lead a whole movement? Because he had a healing gift. Since when does that qualify anyone to lead a whole movement in christianity? The bible sure doesn't say that.
(PS. And if anyone is tempted to be a smart alec, and say Jesus Christ, then they might as well go to their nearest witch doctor and thank them for returning to the earth so quickly, and without a tribulation. The devil performs miracles as well.)
