A Snare Has Been Set

Sunday, October 18, 2009, 10:48 p.m. – I lay down in bed to sleep when I had THIS VISION: The mouth of a lion appeared on my right (east) facing the left (west). It looked as though it was yawning with its tongue sticking out toward the left (west). Then I saw a right arm and a hand extend out from the mouth toward the left (west). After that it appeared as though the mouth was like a vacuum that was sucking air inside of it and the arm and hand appeared like it was reaching out from inside this mouth as if to call whatever was to be sucked inside the mouth.

Following this I had an image of my mom in my mind. She died in June of 2000. Then, I saw something I can’t recall followed by an image of my aunt, her younger sister, who died in January of 1990. Both women died of cancer.

Then I saw this mouth again, still on my right (east) and still facing the left (west). There appeared to be more than one mouth or else it was just one mouth with varied tongues, for I saw the lion’s tongue sticking out and I also saw a snake’s forked tongue stick out and these appeared to alternate at a pretty fast and intense speed.

I then saw a leopard on my right (east) facing the left (west) growl or snarl and then extend its claws as though ready to attack something or someone. There was a battle that followed between the leopard and another animal or animals. It was pretty fearsome. Then the battle was over and everything felt very quiet and peaceful. END

All during this the song Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross, was going through my mind.

Monday, October 19, 2009 - My Understanding: I read the news this morning. Two articles stood out to me:

The article about Bagram, Afghanistan, states that “Official U.S. policy is not to create a permanent occupation force in Afghanistan. But from what’s happening at Bagram Aiirfield – the Afghan end of the Charleston-to-Afghanistan lifeline – the US military won’t be packing up soon. More than $200 million in construction projects – from dormitories to cargo-handling yards – either are under way or planned on just the Air Force side of the base. Millions more will be spent by the U.S. Army on streets, roads, sewers and a wastewater treatment plant…

“U.S. troops arrived in Bagram in 2001, occupying a base first used during the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan from 1979 to 1989.” “Bagram has grown so fast over the past couple of years that Air Force commanders have ordered civil engineers to come up with a master plan for the base.” Then comes the decision as far as placement of units – “For example, helicopter rotors stir up rocks. But helicopters are based next to fighter jets, whose engines suck in anything close to their air intakes.” “Today, more than 100 U.S. and NATO units call Bagram home…” “Once everybody’s property started turning into their neighbor’s property, you started having disputes.”

When I read this part of the article about the fighter jets, whose engines suck in anything close to their air intakes, it made me think of this lion whose mouth was like a vacuum that was sucking air inside of its mouth. Also, these dates mentioned appear to correspond with the dates of death of my mom and my aunt. My mom died in 2000. The U.S. entered Bagram in 2001. Perhaps there is a reference here to the death of the U.S. as we know it that took place in 2000/2001 and the death of the Soviet Union in 1990. More on that…

Then, there is the article “The European Union – the new sleeping giant?” This article stood out to me mainly because, when I got to the very end of the article (the very end maybe having a significance here) I read, “… the E.U. will continue to admit more members and grow more powerful. Much remains to be decided, but whatever happens, the United States soon will have a powerful ally – or a fearsome rival.” Those were interesting terms, “whatever” and “fearsome” as the Lord gave me those same descriptive words in this vision to describe the “whatever happens” as this lion sucking stuff inside its mouth and an enemy and a war as “fearsome.”

In my newspaper, the article had a different title: “A new rival: The united states of Europe.” So, when I read the article online and saw the title of “the new sleeping giant”, it made me think of the lion appearing as though it was yawning and it was sticking out its tongue toward the west along with that yawn. And, in essence, this growth of the European Union and the potential for it replacing the U.S.A. as the world’s new “super power” is sticking its tongue out at the west. And, the “sucking” in this case, along with the extended arm and hand of invitation, has to do with admitting more members and thus growing more powerful.

Yet, I also see that it is sucking people from the west toward the east, which is seen in the growth of our military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don’t believe that we are pulling completely out of Iraq. We did not build an Embassy in Iraq on the Tigris river (very important prophetically to end times) the size of the Vatican, and a self-contained city at that, in order to just pull out of Iraq. There is more there than meets the eye. And, it sounds as though we are doing something similar in Afghanistan. And, Iran and Pakistan are coming into play, as well here. I believe all of this is moving toward this New World Order and that the U.S.A. is going to get sucked inside the vacuum, if we haven’t already.

This Lisbon Treaty is really significant and it appears that only the Czech president is a hold-out. The Chzech parliament already has ratified the agreement. Treaty of Lisbon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Once the Czech president signs, then the E.U. becomes more like the United States and will have its own president. Tony Blair is the frontrunner for this position now.

I believe what the Lord is showing me here is that this is a lion with more than one tongue (voice; message). It has a lion’s tongue but I also saw the forked tongue of a snake coming from this lion, so the Lord is showing that this tongue is deceptive, has marked duplicity (deceit; treachery; betrayal) and untruthfulness.

I get the impression here that this passage in Amos, as applied to today, is to be applied to the whole family of God, i.e. the universal church, though the pronouncement of judgment appeared to be primarily addressed to the northern kingdom. I have often seen the USA as the “northern kingdom” since 40% of Jews live in the USA and 40% live in Israel and the other 20% are scattered throughout the rest of the world, though I believe this is speaking to the church – Jewish and Gentile believers alike.

The warning here is that we should not think just because we are Christians that God will spare us from his judgment. The scriptures clearly teach that God disciplines those he loves and that he judges his church. I also believe that there is a message here that we, as Americans, should not think we will be spared God’s judgment just because we are wealthy and powerful or because we are considered a “Christian nation.” Even though God has surely blessed America in the past, it is not a guarantee of future blessing. God demands personal obedience to his commands.

Because we are Christians and therefore we are God’s chosen people - chosen by God for a divine purpose – that brings with it much responsibility. We have an obligation to obey Almighty God, to follow His commands and to walk in Jesus’ ways. Yet, what the Lord has been showing me for the past five years, in particular, is that the church of today is indistinguishable from the world. The church has adopted so many of the world’s methods and practices. There is not much that separates Christians from the world and distinguishes them as true followers of Jesus Christ. So many Christians live in spiritual adultery and idolatry.

The gospel message has been watered down to not include words like sin, obedience, and repentance. Amos said that the Israelites did not know how to do right. He said that their “moral sense had become so warped that right and wrong were blurred” (ZNIV Bible Commentary). And, I believe that is a picture of today’s church. So, in order for God to bring his people back into a right relationship with him, he must bring judgment, because his people are not heeding his warnings and they are refusing to repent and to turn from their wicked ways and to return to their Lord.

As I read about this passage in the ZNIV Bible commentary, I realized that the question about the lion roaring in the thicket when he has no prey was a question with an obvious answer. The lion does not roar when he is stalking his prey. Otherwise he would give away that he was there and he would scare off his prey. That is why this lion in this vision is appearing as a “sleeping giant” who is yawning, because he is to not appear as though he is ready to pounce on his unsuspecting prey. In other words, there is more to this E.U. than meets the eye. Perhaps this is the NWO disguised as the E.U. It has a forked tongue. What is clear is that this E.U. is sucking countries into its mouth and that they are about to become a very powerful force. From this is going to come a war. We will be attacked by a leopard.

Daniel 7:6: "After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.”

Hosea 13:7: “So I will come upon them like a lion, like a leopard I will lurk by the path.”

Habakkuk 1:7-9: “They are a feared and dreaded people;
they are a law to themselves
and promote their own honor.

8 Their horses are swifter than leopards,
fiercer than wolves at dusk.

their horsemen come from afar.

I am not familiar with "Lord Monckton." What authority does he have to make such a statement? I am not doubting that this could be true, I would just like to have more information. I do believe this is the direction our nation is headed in one way or another.
