Because quantum effects don't happen on the scale needed to make 6000 years jump seven orders of magnitude to make the age of the universe look like the age science says it is. Quantum tunnelling exists, yes. Can a person walk through a wall? No.
The effects exist, however, so there has to be a cause. Man is in prison, so I do not expect man to be able to transcend the bars! But the earth is eternal, (in another state universe) so one might expect that our state of flux would have some interactions with the future state.
Let me get this right - you don't know what the point is but you're sure I don't have it? Whatever, dad.

I thought you just said you shouldn't think of anything as an isolated system.
Well, man is isolated from the spiritual, for the most part at the moment. We are not in total isolation, apparently, because spirits can visit the prison! Now, the structure of this prison universe, at least at the quantum basement level, seems to have some interaction with forces on the outside, as it were. Any tunneling that might go on, if any, will not include a passage to accomodate inmates.
How in the world is introducing a correlation with an entirely different set of laws of physics meant to be "simpler"?
Easy, let's see you correlate 10,000 times the speed of light !

So, we have strange forces from somewhere unknown acting upon things that are known. Time is very much involved, and a stunning lack of time needed for the effect to be seen on entangled objects. Many do feel that there is some going backwards from the future, and that sort of thing involved. You know, the darn things behave as if they knew the future..been there done that. Light speed or other constraints of 'normal' physics are no constraints either. If you want to present some sanctimonious, parsimonious case for that, let's see you do it. <staff edit>

If I brought up 'forces' (?) it would be because some force was at work somewhere.
Some have really questioned the basic assumptions of forces, and even light, and photons..
