Amy, I love your new painting!! Absolutely beautiful. And your words are thought and heart-provoking, for HIM.

Thanks Ames! I am a little disappointed that the scanner doesn't show the beauty of His face. The "darker" I go there is two much shadow around his eyes. The "lighter," details and color is sacrificed. The orginal also show Jesus' pierced side. Basically the orginal is much better.
F.R.O.G. Hey! What's up?

Beloved Savior! O Christ my Happiness! have mercy! O Blood of Jesus!
His face looks beautiful regardless. I was thinking that already! :-)

soulreason...WELCOME! I appreciate your encouarging input. The Beloved Jesus Thread started in 2005 with pages and pages of study on the Song of Solomon. Yes there has been some beautiful things shared over the years. I am very grateful for the friendships I have developed here. I have tried very hard to get in depth coversations about the Lord in different Christian group but it's not something that folks are:
A.) interested in
B.) It's too personal
here we have been blessed with a unique group of vulnerable Jesus lovers who love talking about Him, the ups and downs of life, little joys and great joys and finding him in all of life. Everyone is always welcome to to scan the previous installments of Beloved Jesus. although I apprceciate the suggestion I doubt we will ever make a book as some of the stuff is personal and some of our old standbys have left us.
Thanks also for sharing what the Lord is leading you to. I think he is doing that with us all. he wants to be more involved in our lives. Like you said, "practicing his presence." basically we (I) need to love him more! I continue to ask him for this grace.
well I'm not going to bore you all with a long story. I'll close this with this picture, laying my face upon the marred breast of Jesus, that side wound leads straight to his compassionate heart where all the sudden as Jesus felt the weight of my presence on his bosom the flames of his heart leapt high with joy!
Thanks for the encouragement sis.
Its a very personal thing to share on an open forum like this and my kudos go to those who do. However, when it comes to sharing about Jesus then I believe we should all be just as proud as punch to brag on Him! Is this one instance where pride would not be a sin?

I am agreeing!
so everyone...after viewing my latest painting on the previous page we talked a little about the thirst of Jesus. I pictured Christ holding out a cup and asking us to put some love in His cup. How do we do this in a practical way? Can you name some ways that we can put love into Jesus' cup?
here's something I thought of...when I resist temptation, instead of giving into the temptation I will choose to GIVE some love into Christ's cup.

Hello I am still here! I miss visiting with you. Thanks for understanding why I'm not here.
I wrote a little on part of my study this morning. Maybe communion would be a better word. It was out my fellowship with the Lord I gleaned this truth. I thought you may be interested.
Proverbs 28:9 He who turns away his ear from listening to the law,
Even his prayer is an abomination. NASB
I thought about what an insult to the Lord it must be to pay no attention to what He says, and then expect Him to pay attention to us when we ask of Him. That is downright rude!
Really, how would I feel if I were speaking to my beloved children and they weren't listening? I can tell you exactly how I'd feel first hand. It's awful to have to keep repeating myself, to the point of exasperation if I'm not able to get their attention. I don't like it when they nod their heads with their mp3 players in their ears and completely miss what I said. How do I know they missed it? Because they haven't done what I asked of them. Nor have they always acknowledged my love for them but their ears were dull of hearing and they turned away without returning my love.
Is this not a picture of rebellious Israel? Could it be us, His beloved bride? No. His bride fully respects Him and loves Him. She is without blemish, washed in his own blood. However, we are warned of this in Hebrews....
Hebrews 2:1 We must therefore pay even more attention to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away. HCSB
Is there really a possibility of our drifting away? I would give an emphatic 'yes' as an answer, else we wouldn't be given this admonition.
That's a side issue, free of charge.
Let's turn this around. Let's get a picture of His awaiting bride, waiting with oil in her lamp, for her Beloved could come at any time. She is giving her full attention daily to Him, and has an open ear at every hour. How does He respond to such a one who asks of Him?
John 15:7 But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! NLT
I am purposing in my heart to give attention to His Word, much closer attention, my full attention, treasuring His Words and laying them up in my heart. This honors Him. When we give Him this place in our heart, that only he should have we become one with Him, and hears us. We have His heart, and He has ours.
__________________ When one asked a leader of a Hindu nation what would cause them to move towards Christianity he responded with great clarity and directness, “First, I would suggest all you Christians, missionaries and all, must begin to live more like Jesus Christ. Second, practice your religion without adulterating it or toning it down. Third, emphasize love and make it your working force, for love is central in Christianity. Fourth, study the non-Christian religions more sympathetically to find the good that is within them in order to have a more sympathetic approach to the people.”
Awesome and sobering exortation Cindy. Right on! I agree whole heartedly! "Let's turn this around.
