Are you sure? Imagine you are living at the time of Aristotle. According to him (and the science of that time) air has no mass or pressure.(since air goes to infinity!!, any mass or pressure would crush everything!!) The wind, heat, cold, birds' ability to fly, and sound were all explained by levitation force, heat force, etc., which were all inaccurate. At that time, two suction cups pressed together would have been said to hold tight because of the "mysterious forces of vacuum!!," not the external pressure of atmosphere! We all know now how wrong Aristotle was. SOURCE

Don't worry, it's just one of Av's lame attempts to discredit science. |

Words and concepts change over time as I'm sure you know. Semantic games is not something that can either prove or disprove science or the scientific method. |

What does 'today' have to do with this thread?
I'm trying to reconstruct the past here.

No you're not.
You're trying to discredit science.
You couldn't give two smegs about the actual past, because the only past you care about is the fictional one in Genesis. |

But you cannot reconstruct the past with words and concepts meaning something different now as to what they meant then. |
