Yet more gaps filled in evolutionary tale

Pterodactyl fossil fills gaps in evolutionary tale

"Scientists say a very rare find of some 20 fossilized pterodactyls has produced the first clear evidence of a controversial theory of evolution.

The fossils were found in north-east China earlier this year, embedded in rock dating back 160 million years, and have been called "Darwinopterus" after the renowned naturalist Charles Darwin.

The creature's discovery has astounded scientists because their age puts them within two recognized groups of pterodactyls -- primitive long-tailed forms and advanced short-tail forms -- and they display characteristics of both."

Not in the eyes of creationists. Every fossil creates 2 new gaps. For every new transitional fossil evolution is worse off because there are now 2 new gaps to fill. In Creationworld black is white, up is down.

Yeah, scientists really need to stop finding evidence if we're ever going to convince the creationists that evolution is true.

That would seem to be the best route. The first step would be to stop doing science. Second step is to claim persecution. Third step is to make a movie about how mean other scientists are, and to again reiterate how persecuted they are. Somewhere in there you need to start a foundation in Seattle. It can be called the Discove . . . no, hold on that one is already taken . . . called the Investigatory Foundation. They can spend millions of dollars making pamphlets and DVD's on how they are really, really being persecuted. But remember, the whole time you can't step one foot in the laboratory, that would be a deal breaker. You definetly can't go out digging for those pesky fossils, that would just add more gaps.

Don't forget to throw the word science into your foundation, as in "Investigatory Science Foundation." See what I did there, makes it sound so much more sciency and stuff.

BTW, thanks for the link. Good read.

Edited to add: Don't forget to hire a few Ph.D.s' in unrelated fields, so as to impress the flock (revenue you know).

I think its impressive that the word science has such power. Christians in the past tried to kill for such power. Now the Christian brand seems to be failing in my view.

Creationists are so envious of Science that they are trying to take the name for themselves.

Lets not be mistaken when Creationists rally against Evolution, they are really rallying against Science.

That is why they missattribute so many things to evolution - such as the big bang. Evolution is not really what they are after,

I've seen Dad claim that science should be on the "sidelines". That science is "a dead-end". AV has called science "myopic" and said "Science has no place criticizing the Bible"
