Our compromise so far is not to have either until the kids are a bit older. However I'm slowly converting her by taking her to see cute puppies and friendly dogs now and then. |

We have 2 15 yo cats....they are ok but weird .....but we have a 6 year old demon disguised as a cat. She's fixed....she's fully vetted regularly....but she howls all night....claws at doors...poops in the laundry room where the 3 litterboxes are....pees on anything cloth that is left on the floor...including any rug we try to own. We have hardwood floors in every room and can't have a rug anywhere because she will urinate on it. She has never ever clawed anything other than doors.....until I bought a leather reading chair for myself. Now it's covered in holes because her trees and sisal boards are no longer good enough. I can't stand her.
We will never own another cat because of her.
Congrats on the puppy though! I'm more of a dog person myself. We have two of them and one is old and senile and I call her "70 lbs of stupid" most days.

I am? A wheel of karma? What is that? Can you explain, please.
