I am a 20 year old guy. I am christian but unfortunately human as well. I have had sex with a girlfriend and I guess my fear is that the type of girls I am interested in would not be able to overlook my past mistakes and turn me down. Girls, would you be able to forgive and overlook a guy if you loved him but found out he was not a virgin?
But as christians aren't we called to be forgive one another? (Thinking that's the type of girl you're interested in).
Besides if you've confessed your sin before God you are free of that sin.
It's possible that the girl you spend the rest of your life with finds it hard to know she's not your first one and then it would be something the two of you need to work out.

Just so long as money, drugs, or Craigslist were not part of the deal any girl will overlook it, although don't expect to find a girlfriend at 20 that is a virgin. You didn't mention whether or not she was *your* girlfriend. If not you may have some bigger problems.

Forgive it? I wouldn't have dated you if you hadn't had sex I dated a virgin once, and it was way too complicated.
In all seriousness (well that was seriousness, but I know I'm the odd one out when it comes to that kinda thing), if you feel the type of girls you are interested in would not be able to over look it, I guess I'd like to ask: Why in the world are you dating girls that are incapable of forgiveness? Doesn't seem very Christian at all.
If the type of girl you're after is so judgmental, it might be time to change what you're looking for. Any girl worth her salt will be able to get over that kind of thing. There are some Christian girls out there who absolutely refuse to date a non-virgin, but in my experience they are not the majority.

Everyone has a past... some have a little bit more graphic and painful one than others, but especially in the body of Christ we are familiar with redemption. So depending on the insecurities of the girl (some girls have issues with at least hearing about their man's prior escapades...i'll raise my hand...) but if you show to be the kind of man that is dedicated to pleasing the Lord above your own desires or fears, then yup God-fearing future wifey should have no qualms about forgiving/overlooking your past.

"A man by his sin may waste himself, which is to waste that which on earth is most like God. This is man's greatest trajedy and God's heaviest grief." -A.W.Tozer

I agree with you I have found that when the Lord brought me together with my love, despite our imperfections we see how perfect we are for each other. And though I do sometimes feel insecure about the negative things in the past I know that the past should stay in the past. If you have truly asked the Lord for forgiveness, I know He has made you new and whole
By the time you reach adulthood I think you would be surprised as to how many Christians have a sexual past. Some because they where not raised Christians, some because the temptation was too powerful, some backslid and then returned to the faith.
In all likelyhood you have a pretty good chance of finding someone else who has a sexual past as well. If you can forgive it, so can they.
Eventually what matters to most people is where you are at today and what you are going to be in the future.
