I'm still stuck on the fact that Obama is worried about them. They're radio personalities. They have opinions, just like you and I do. Sometimes they're wrong, just like you and I. We express our opinions here where many people can see them, they express their opinions on a frequency.

Why does Obama need to be worried about that? Wasn't he elected by a landslide (as some have maintained here)? Or is there something to the "right wing" media that has him worried?

It's not smart to pick a fight with a news outlet. Perhaps Obama should read up on Nixons fight with the news papers......turned out real bad for him.

Receiving the spirit of God is a miracle, it's a gift given to those that have been allowed to see their lost condition and they cry out to the Lord: Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Indeed Beck is the worst of the worst. He even makes Savage look almost sensible.

I don't think Obama should go after them, though. I think he should thank them for demonstrating the nuttiness of right wing extremisim. I'm not too worried about the numbers, either. There may be a couple million that actually believe their nonsense, but most of the listeners are more likely just tuning in to hear the freak show.

And it's not even like Fox news is all bad. Shepherd Smith's show and Special Report with Brett Baier are pretty good, as is Julie Banderas' show on the weekends.

"With that being said, you are a Democrat. You are saying, "Let`s cut and run." And I have to tell you, I have been nervous about this interview with you, because what I feel like saying is, "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies. And I know you’re not. I’m not accusing you of being an enemy, but that’s the way I feel, and I think a lot of Americans will feel that way."[3]

The Glenn Beck TV Show, November 14, 2006, Glenn Beck to Keith Ellison.
Keith Ellison is the first Muslim member of congress in the US.
During the 2009 Henry Louis Gates controversy, Beck argued that President Barack Obama has repeatedly shown "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture," saying "I'm not saying he doesn't like white people. I'm saying he has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist."[70]
Would you kill someone for that?...I'm thinking about killing Michael Moore...I could kill him myself, or if I would need to hire somebody to do it,...No, I think I could. I think he could be looking me in the eye, you know, and I could just be choking the life out. Is this wrong? I stopped wearing my What Would Jesus — band — Do, and I've lost all sense of right and wrong now. I used to be able to say, 'Yeah, I'd kill Michael Moore,' and then I'd see the little band: What Would Jesus Do? And then I'd realize, 'Oh, you wouldn't kill Michael Moore. Or at least you wouldn't choke him to death.' And you know, well, I'm not sure. [1]

The Glenn Beck Program, May 17, 2005
Posed question: What would people do for $50 million dollars?
The most used phrase in my administration if I were to be President would be "What the hell you mean we're out of missiles?"

The Glenn Beck Program, January 12 2009
Hey, does anybody notice this crazy thing that we’re on the road to socialism? I’m just saying. Wow. We got — we got the SCHIPs thing going for us. That’s great. There is the change that we were all hoping for, really, seriously. Hey, I got an idea. If we’re going down the road to socialism, I mean, why not really go for it, huh? Comrades, good news from the western front, our glorious revolution is starting to take hold. Oh, the revolution of change. Our fearless leader has just signed in SCHIPs, and earlier today, he spoke out against capitalism. Listen up.

In response on Fox News to the S-CHIPS bill signed by President Obama on February 4, 2009
And it was from America. Progressive movement in America. Eugenics. In case you don’t know what Eugenics led us to: the Final Solution. A master race! A perfect person. …. The stuff that we are facing is absolutely frightening. So I guess I have to put my name on yes, I hope Barack Obama fails. But I just want his policies to fail; I want America to wake up.

In response on Fox News on President Obama overturning the ban on federally funded stem cell research on March 9, 2009
They break kneecaps... maybe they do, maybe they don't, I don't know." - on ACORN
You get the idea.

We don't have fifteen million people a week listening to what we have to say. Limbaugh does. I don't need to lecture you about the power of mass media, do I?

He's just as worried about Fox as conservatives were worried about the "liberal bias" of the media back in the halcyon days of the Bush administration.

You don't need to lecture me about anything.

So, if these 15 million are really that bothersome, what's Obama's options?

He's just as worried about Fox as conservatives were worried about the "liberal bias" of the media back in the halcyon days of the Bush administration.
So he's just as stupid? Great. I thought that his mantra was change, but I guess not.

He is acknowledging the power of the media, and right now, a sizable portion of them are firmly in control of the far right. I don't know what's so stupid about that.

No, one network has a right lean to it. How many networks lean to the left?? There's at least two out there.

As you pointed out, many conservatives have always maintained there was a left bias to the MSM. When we did it, though, we were called names, made fun of, etc. But now, when Obama is doing it, it's called being smart and "acknowledging the power of the media". Riiiiiight.

I tell ya, my grandpa (who happens to be a democrat) is right. He's been referring to the democrats as the party of double standards.
