Bulldozing the Dome of the Rock would certainly not bring about peace and harmony in the region. It's the type of thing that could provoke a world wide conflict. I understand why some of the Jewish people might want to have a reconstituted temple but as a Christian I see nothing compelling me to support such a endeavor.
Many Christians share the belief that the Islamic shrines must be destroyed and that a Jewish Temple must and will be rebuilt - very soon. But this won’t be a museum replica of the one king Solomon built or be just another attraction for pilgrims to the Holy Land. No, this Temple will be built for one purpose and one purpose only - for bloody animal sacrifices, and lots of them.
In this chapter we want to explore the case for rebuilding the Jewish Temple; consider whether the Bible predicts such an event; and if so, where and how it might be built. We will then look at what the New Testament has to say on the subject and some of the implications for Christianity should the Jewish Temple be rebuilt. Finally, we will reveal that the Temple is actually under construction (but don’t peep).

If that's the case why would Christians support the building of such a temple? Don't we believe that the sacrifice of animals is now superfluous when we have the blood of Christ ?
I understand that many consider the rebuilding of the Temple to be a prophetic sign post of sorts but to actually support the building of the temple seems contrary to Christian teaching. Just as the rise of anti-Christ could be a prophetic signpost but we are not supposed to actively support his rise to power.

Christians do not support the rebuilding of the temple, but they know it will be rebuilt.
Christians do not support Isreal killing Arabs or Arabs killing Israeli's.
Christians suppoert Israel being a nation and having the right to exist and govern itself like any nation , because the BIble predicted this would happen and so has.
Christians support fulfillment of prophecy as it will show the world of unbeleivers the BIble has the only truth and many will turn to Jesus before it is too late for them to be saved.

Some Christians believe that it will be rebuilt but I don't think you can categorically say "Christians know that it will be rebuilt". I'm a Christian and personally I have no idea if a temple will be rebuilt there or not... or if it will be rebuilt when it will happen.

I agree most wholeheartedly.
Christians support Israel being a nation and having the right to exist and govern itself like any nation , because the Bible predicted this would happen and so has.
I don't believe it is incumbent on Christians to support "Israel being a nation" anymore (or less) then it is for them to support China or Yugoslavia being a nation. It is incumbent on them to oppose terrorism and violence against both Israeli and Palestinian civilians though certainly.
The temple will not be rebuilt. That's a false teaching based on a misstranslation of Daniel. Jesus came to end animal sacricing (by sacrificing himself).
