Do you see that all the words Jeremiah wrote as to this prophecy are for the one Babylon place?
the place of the Euphrates River
Now step back and read 50-51, as in chapter 50 is where this message began as to things that happen with Babylon.
all of those things are spoken against
one place
Babylon is depicted in the Bible as the kingdom of Satan - in fact, when we read
Revelation 17:3-5
3So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Revelation 18:1-4
1And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Verse 4 is a major clue to Biblical eschatology -
Come out of her my people: The voice from Heaven is telling us to come out of Babylon. So, we know that this is a spiritual meaning - so is it talking about a literal Babylon? No! It's talking about the God's people to come out of Babylon, which is in accordance with the apostasy we read in
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
The man of sin is Satan himself, who in verse 4, sets himself up to be like God and worshiped and sits in the temple of God. We as Christians, for the past 2,000 or so years, have not worshiped in Jerusalem or have we worshiped in the temple of Jerusalem - no, for we are temples of God
1 Corinthians 6:19
9 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
However! Satan cannot possible set himself up in the elect or saved of God! Absolutely not! So we know that this has to imply to the congregational churches, that have gone into apostasy! Think I'm wrong? Would Christ be proud of the fact that there's over 33,000 different Christian denominations? Or even better yet, do a google search on the Emerging Church movement and look at their doctrines (or lack of)!!
Another clue:
Go back to Revelation 17:5 and Revelation 18:3. Keywords, fornication and harlot. This woman is the apostate churches that fornicate and commit adultery with false teachings, gospels and doctrines. What's my Biblical proof of these things about to happen?
2 Timothy 4:1-4
1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
I'm not sure about that. What's the spiritual meaning behind 'regular Babylon'? We know the Bible is full of spiritual meanings, it's a spiritual book!
In fact we read in
Revelation 17:1
And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of thegreat whorethat sitteth upon many waters:
--and--
Revelation 17:5
And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
What is she a harlot of? A prostitute or promiscuous woman in the spiritual sense. In fact she is the congregational church that has fornicated with false doctrines, false prophets and fables.
Revelation 18:3 talks about her fornication as well.
Rev.18 is about regular Babyon
That is incorrect. When we read Revelation 18:4, we understand that this is indeed the congregational churches ruled by Satan (Satan's kingdom represented by Babylon)
Revelation 18:4
And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
This is addressing those who are God's elect to come out of Satan's Kingdom
2 Thessalonians 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
1. "All that is called God" the unsaved proclaiming they are saved
2. "The temple of God" is the congregational churches.
3. "Shewing himself that he is God" is Satan pretending to be just like God. This includes all the false gospels, doctrines, and worship. To the unsaved in the churches, they have no idea.
The Bible is a spiritual book for the spiritually dead (everyone).
Rev.18 goes along with the prophecy given in Isaiah 47.
the land of the Chaldeans
The Jews will flee the land - come out.
They will return to Israel.
So they don't get the next set of plagues - the vials that will come down on those that followed the beast - and the land of Iraq.
Just as Rev. 7 begins a new part, so does chapter 18.
Rev. 7 is not part of the 6th seal.
John began to see visions that were not from the sealed book.
Rev. 16 - 22 is what John ate as a book in chapter 10.
John was to prophesy again.
This section was not to contain any sealed up parts.
The middle part of Revelation is referred to as "the mystery". This is because it did not occur in the days of John. This part would be understood more when the time came for it to happen.
Rev. 1-3
the letters
not sealed
time is then
Rev. 4 - "after"
As in John is beginning a new part.
Rev. 7:1
has "after"
John began a new part.
This section would include the great tribulation happened.
Before the 7th seal is opened - men came out of great tribulation.
The last part of Jeremiah 51 that I have reads as such:
"The prophet Jeremiah spoke to Baruch son of Neriah while he was writing down in a scroll the words that Jeremiah spoke to him. This happened in the fourth year that Jehoiakim son of Josiah was ruling over Judah. “The Lord God of Israel has a message for you, Baruch. ‘You have said, “Woe is me! For the Lord has added sorrow to my suffering. I am worn out from groaning. I can’t find any rest.”’”The Lord told Jeremiah, “Tell Baruch, ‘The Lord says, “I am about to tear down what I have built and to uproot what I have planted. I will do this throughout the whole earth. Are you looking for great things for yourself? Do not look for such things. For I, the Lord, affirm that I am about to bring disaster on all humanity. But I will allow you to escape with your life wherever you go.”’”
So I'm not real sure what you're talking about.

Start with Jeremiah 46 through 51 to see that a few nations are identified as being part of the end-time scenario. Add the 5 months and another 7 to bury the dead and you have the year of retribution.
